Oki MICROLINE 186 Dot Matrix Printer (91306301)

I purchased this ML 186 to replace my ML 184 which had a bad print head. When this machine works properly, it does a great job printing. But It is like my old model, the checks keep jamming in the feed device. Every time that I start a new line of checks, the feeder jams the checks and throws it off line. And it also ruins checks. So I have 2 rubber bands holding the apparatus more securely that helps feed the checks. I also use duplicate checks which makes the checks thicker, and this may impair with proper feeding. I didn't think a new printer would act just like my old one. But at least I can now read what is printing when I finally get the machine lined up and going. I would recommend changing to laser checks and a laser printer; that is where the future is headed for me.

Use in industrial setting.

Total workhorse. Rarely jams. Good ribbon life.

no printer cable with it, doesn't install easy and i'm not sure if it is compatible with window 10. can't get to work with QuickBooks. this is not my first Oki printer. I just don't understand why everything you need isn't sold to you. charge me, I don't want it free, but I should have to figure out what printer cord I need.
