Great value and works nicely
Installed this in my 2006 Nissan Frontier 4x4. Added an under the rear seat Audio Enhancer 10" sub box with a Rockford Fosgate R2 shallow mount sub. The sub is a DVC 2 ohm, so ran it in series for a 4 ohm load and then wired the amp bridged mono. I really like the sub volume knob, ran that up front under the dash. This is more than enough for this little truck and I'm not joining any sound comps or SPL comps either. Sounds great with my ATOTO A6PF headunit, Pioneer TS-692C 2-way components upfront and TS-A1680 in the rear with 85Hz and 200Hz blockers on the fronts/rears. This my 2nd SSL amp, I have an EVO1500.1 running a Rockford Fosgate P2D4 12" in my car and it is more than enough for that sub. Great value, great features, zero issues.

I bought this to put in my truck.
I bought this to put in my truck. It was the perfect amp for my door component set of speaker's. works great an never goes out like some sound system amps will do after being used for a while. Buy it an you will love it. I promise you that.

Cheap, but powerful. Feedback, but no fluctuations.
GREAT power output, easy design to work with and fits about anywhere. Just dont use it at low levels as this is an A/B amp through and through. After multiple tests in a few different scenarios, the ever-present low level feedback is pretty rough. Would be perfect for a boat or car with a throaty exhaust or as a cheap , quick and easy replacement of a more expensive amp. Not good for audiophiles, but if you just want loud music with clean sound at high volume, this amp is for you.

Surprising quality for the price
I have bought a lot of very expensive amps that arent built as well as this one, specially for the price. All the connections are well laid out, all the controls are easily adjusted, the body is well built and very clean looking. The manual is very well written and easily understood with a lot more info than a lot of higher priced models. I have been running this amp bridged at 2 Ohms for a week now, it has performed flawlessly without overheating even once, I have it mounted in a pretty tight area that doesnt get much air circulation, in fact I had an MTX amp mounted in the same spot and it would constantly overheat and go into protection. As far as sound quality goes it sounds very good! No noise, very clean and solid bass, I am able to play it far louder than the MTX and Rockford Fosgate it replaced, it actually sounds like it was made to listen to not just to make speakers go boom. I listen to music not Rap and it sounds very smooth no matter what I play. Drums sound like drums, bass guitars sound like guitars not like a horrible low frequency buzz. I was so happy with the quality that I bought a SSL EV4.400 four channel amp for my mids and tweets, I also bought a SSL S4EQ to control everything. If these units last a month with the punishment I give them I will be buying more SSL products. It's nice to know someone makes a quality amp that doesnt cost a fortune! I wouldnt hesitate to recomend this amp to anyone looking for a quality product at a very good price!

Problems on problems on problems: Avoid at any cost
This amplifier is complete garbage. Maybe it's because you get what you pay for, or maybe because it's actually a bad product. Either way, it only lasted 6 months, and during those six months, it was a huge pain. Upon installing it, it became immediately necessary to buy a ground loop noise isolator because it would make intolerable static with the engine on. Occasionally, it would make static without any inputs plugged in, despite being very well grounded. All the time, there would be a quiet static when any input cable was plugged in, and this occasionally got louder and more annoying. It was practically impossible to set the gain to where it should be because the static would become unbearable. Sometimes it would make loud static only after all audio has stopped. Sometimes, it would stay on with the ignition off, making a VERY loud, short noise after killing the engine. This was absolutely terrifying the first time it happened. Then I would have to pull apart the dash, wherever I'm parked, and keep a screwdriver in my car to disconnect the amp. I suppose it was shorting out internally somewhere between the power and the remote wires. It blew a fuse in my car twice. While I know that an amp should be wired right to the battery, it seemed unnecessary for this one considering that it is essentially the same power as an aftermarket stereo. So it was an unpleasant surprise when I found that my power locks weren't working so I had to change a fuse under the hood while parked in a bad neighborhood at night. My recommendation:Save your money for a real amplifier (maybe even a Class D one), this bottom shelf piece of junk is not worth it when you'll have to replace it within half a year anyway, especially with all the hassle it came with. Not to mention, you would have to pay $20 for a warranty replacement. I certainly wish I could have my $25 back to put towards something that will at least work semi-reliably.

Beautiful AND an excellent value
Great amp for the price. After my Pioneer sh*t out on me, I shopped around the internet for amplifiers that would rattle my windows but not break the bank. This one fit the bill perfectly. Tons of adjustment options, clear and precise bass, simple setup (took me about 10 minutes, with my wiring kit already installed) and it looks beautiful. The power LED indicator is really bright, but I guess that can be a good thing. It doesn't draw heavily on your electrical system, either. My old amp used to make my lights dim and RPMs fluctuate and that kind of thing, but this one is a higher wattage and draws almost nothing out of my electrical system. Highly recommend, it's worth it. My bass control knob works with my amp, but I already had one installed so I'm leaving the SSL one off for now. THIS AMP STAYS COOL. I've had it pounding non-stop for a three hour road trip on several occasions, and it never once heated up on me. Just make sure it can breathe, it is vented on the bottom so I would recommend mounting it to something to allow airflow underneath it. I used just a small piece of wood to prop one end up about an inch, and that's plenty.
