How many lumens per lantern ( should say on the box ) cheers

It doesn’t say on the box, but I expected it to be a lot brighter.

Do these lamps come with the hanging hooks?

yes they do & spikes to go in the ground. quite a nice length.

I have just put up my lanterns and 1 doesn’t work tried replacing the battery could you please advise

My only rouble with these is that the batteries don't hold a 'charge'' for very long. Try, removing the battery. then use sandpaper/emery, to remove any 'build-up' on the lamps 'battery contacts'. Clean the battery contacts at the same time. Best of luck.

Do you need to switch the lanterns on before placing in sunlight to charge the first day?

Yes you need to put the switch to on
