FOB and The House of Sleeping Beauties Paperback – January 1, 1998

I read FOB for a Theater History class. It was written and premiered in 1979. It may have been awesome then, but I was only moderately impressed.The play is about immigrants from China. One character has immigrant parents but was born in America, one immigrated as a child but is now an adult, and the last is "Fresh Off the Boat." The central theme is assimilation vs holding onto your culture.

This literature (the stories' plots) is really dated if used as textbook. There was nothing interesting about the stories at all.
