great sound
this really sounds fantastic. enhances my stereo system sound great. the sound is so crisp and clear. great value for the money. I am an audiophile and it takes a lot to please me. the only down side is that the lights on the slide bars is very bright. but for the sound that it produces I can easily live with that. highly recommend.

Excellent
EQ units must be hooked up correctly to do their thing. They all differ somewhat, but the basics are the same. Hook one up incorrectly and it will seem it doesn't work. Some speakers don't work well at all without the correct EQ unit- like Bose 901s. Run Bose 901s without the correct EQ and they sound like crap. A pair of Bose 901s with the correct EQ unit is like no other listening experience- providing stunning lifelike tones for decades. The EMB Vocal Effects Processor (EQB75) does what it's supposed to do- enhances the overall performance of the amp- and does it well.

All EQ's are not created equal...
Ok,so as ALL the other reviews have stated, this thing is BRIGHT,REALLY REALLY BRIGHT!Really can't understand why it's so bright;not really an issue from me as it's om my shop stereo. But if I had it installed in the house it would be just too bright to use.So be warned. As to the sound quality some other reviewers have said that it doesn't work at all.Mine does actually work, not great, and certainly not as good as the Technics eq it replaced. But for the $$ its ok.Other reviews have said that the center 'frequency' display does not accurately depict what s actually being played, and I've got to agree with that. It's just some bouncy lights made to entertain and distract the buyer from the fact that he just got hosed. And mine have stopped working altogether so there's that.I bought mine as an Amazon return.Had i paid full price this thing would be going back!YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!October 12 2020-So I bought this POS last September.Sometime between then and now the center display quit working, then working sometimes, sometimes not.,oh well. Then this morning I find the left channel has quit working when in EQ mode.Still works when bypassed but that kinda negates the usefulness of a GRAPHIC EQUALIZER!A one star review is the lowest I can give this so called equalizer.Just sent your money on fire. You'll get more enjoyment out it that way.

Sounds great just not built great
The equalizer surprisingly sounds very good. After trying to unplug an RCA and the jack pulling completely out I didn't expect too much and was kind of disappointed but I changed cables and inputs and it worked great and sounded very good. I read some of the other reviews about the brightness of the lights. I thought people were just being too picky. My apologies. You can be sitting in a pitch black room with the EQ on and still see what's in the room. RIDICULOUSLY bright. The spectrum has no line level adjustment so if you want to see the analyzer work you have to have it turned up really....really loud. I have it hooked up to a Harman/Kardon Signature Series receiver and amp and love the sound quality. It's just not the highest build quality.

Perfect for the money
I had to replace my 40 yr old Pioneer equalizer and spent a lot of time searching. There are not many products out there for the casual listener who wants great sound and more control over what they hear. I love my Harmon/Kardon receiver and my Atlantic speakers/sub, and I was looking for an easy to connect, quality product. I took a chance on this equalizer and am glad I did. I can't hear any distortion and the adjustments I make are noticable, allowing me to get the sound just right for my ear.

Is it a Pyle or is it an EMB? Actually, it's both.
If you know someone with a Pyle-Pro PPEQ100 then go look at it and listen to it before you buy this. They are the same unit. Identical in every way except the badging. As an equalizer it is, well... adequate. The "spectrum analyzer" may well be indicating someone's audio spectrum, but it's not reading what comes out of this unit. Adjusting the sliders has negligible effect on the display. If you have a pair of sunglasses then you'd best put them on before powering up this beast. Failure to do so may result in a nasty headache from the intensity of the LEDs in the sliders for each band. Really. You could strap this to the hood of your car and never need to turn on the headlights. Yeah. THAT bright. In a dim room you wouldn't be able to read what frequencies each slider covers because your retinas would slam shut.If you go solely by what you hear, and ignore the "spectrum analyzer" part, then it does an adequate job. With zero audio going into it there is no perceptible hiss or hum in the output. The resulting audio sounds fine, and when I ran tones through it the scope showed no undue clipping or distortion. It does have some issues with sawtooth at frequencies above 4kHz, but I could see it rather than hear it. If you're an audiophile who really CAN hear the difference then you're probably not looking at this beast as an option anyway. Emerson Lake and Palmer might sound a little gnarly through this. For the average Jane or Joe this will do the job. But the manufacturers, whoever they might be, really should look into intensity of those LEDs. They are bright enough to make me wonder if there might be a way to weaponize this thing.

Good deal
Pretty much all I needed to get that final tweak to my home system. Build quality is good, yes the blue LEDs are BRIGHT, if mine weren't out of sight it would be distracting, but other than that it functions as it should. Some have complained about the "spectrum analyzer" not working properly, but it does what it's meant to do; it displays the input signal. If I needed another one would 10/10 buy again.
