Slippy Heel Protectors - Wool Pile - Helps Prevent Pressure Sores

I have been having painful heels due to having to lay down a lot. To the point they were driving me mad. These helped, in one day and night, my heels are no more painful than the rest of me. Which is a relief. Well sort of... :)

These are very comfortable and certainly help prevent pressure sores if you're confined to bed. The only problem is that with the elderly and bedridden they need to be washed occasionally. When you do, the blue Velcro strap detaches from the foam strap and Is never the same no matter how you try to glue it (or the District nurse does).

These are comfortable and protect the heel and ankle well. However, there is what I consider a design faultThe foam strap that attaches to the velcro area to keep the protector in place is covered by a very thin layer of blue material and it is this blue strip that attaches to the velcro area. In all three pairs I have bought, after a time the thin blue strip becomes detached from the foam and eventually the protector can no longer be held in place. This happened to me with the last pair I bought even without washing the protector.So good, but with a short effective life.

Do not recommend at all. Waste of money. The design is fine but anyone who has or has had bed sores, you need secure fitting. The wool cushioning is thin and more importantly the securing is key of which basically is non existent to keep them on at night because 1 inch of Velcro is not going hold !!! Pathetic product, do not buy, delivery good.

I got these for my cousin who has been in hospital for 4 months now. Her heels had started to break out and these have helped tremendously. They fit well, are comfortable and because they outer layer is smooth it still allows her to move her feet if she needs to in bed.

Well made product and my 91 year old Mum much preferred them over the inflatable 'leg boots' for relieving her 'burning' heels.

Warm, comfortable and do exactly what they’re supposed to. Unfortunately the Velcro doesn’t last after a few washes, but u can always buy presstuds!!

These protectors are comfortable, take the pressure off my heals and allow me to do my exercises in bed after a hip replacement.
