I used the old formula for years after the brand first used stopped being made. The original version was a useful and good product that did the job. The things I disliked like about it were that the depilatory creme had an unpleasant chemical odour. It was also somewhat watery as was the finishing creme. My biggest criticism was the shelf life. It pretty much expired after about 12 months. Sometimes, you might get an extra 3-4 months out of it, though. I am happier with this new version. Both the depilatory creme and the after creme are thicker and cling better. The diplilatory creme has a truly clean, freshly washed scent to it whilst the finish creme smells like vanilla to me now. This version also comes with a little spreader for spreading the creme. I did not notice it in the box and used my finger as usual, but this spreader is a nice touch, and I look forward to trying it next time. You still have to know how to use it properly to avoid burns. Run a wash cloth under a hot tap. Wring out the cloth and place it on the area where you will use the dipilatory. Hold it in place until the heat has lessened by about 50%. You are doing this to open your pores. Now, lightly blot the moisture dry with a soft towel and then apply the creme thickly. Do not rug it into the skin. Simply apply a THICK layer of it in ever spot where there is hair to be removed. I use a timer and let the creme stay on for 9 minutes. I use a wash cloth and very warm water to remove the creme. I wipe pretty hard to remove the creme. You will see the hair come off in the creme. Once all of the creme is removed with very warm water, put the wash clothe under a cold tap, and use it to keep rinsing the area with cold water for a least a full minute, 2 if you have the patience. This step is CRUCIAL. You make sure all of the creme is removed using only COLD water and a soft wash cloth. Once you feel no residue remains and your pores are closed, blot dry again and then apply the finishing creme. Yes, the area may be a little sore but not for too long. If you rinsed well, you should not see any redness. I do not recommend you use this more often than 2X per month. Every two weeks should be more than enough. I think once per month is fine for myself, but I always forget and let myself go much longer. Thus, I always have at least half a tube that is lost once the shelf life has expired. I use it for my upper lip. If I used it once per month like clockwork, there would be no time for the hair to grow back enough to be very noticeable. If your hair is dark, especially, you will see a huge difference in your appearance once the hair is removed. Overall, I heartily recommend this new version. This is not just new packaging. Sally Hansen has made several real improvements here! Bravo!!

I won't use anything but Sally Hansen on my face! This removed my facial hair in 5 minutes! No horrible smell. No burning. This stuff removed a stubborn lip hair that nothing else got rid of. Pesky chin hairs are gone! I'm Italian so I have dark hairs - yuk! My face is smooth now! Product comes with lotion to use afterwards that is soothing. This product works generally well when the product is less than a year old. I noticed that after I’ve had the bottle for more than a year, it starts taking longer than five minutes to remove the hairs. After a while, even 15 minutes doesn’t work and I end up with these zapped looking hairs still on my face so that’s what I have to throw it out and buy a new one. Luckily, this is not too expensive.

I have used Sally Hansen hair removal for years I still have one of the $1.00 coupons which was included inside the box. I have to use the hair removal twice a week because the hair grows back fast. It does not have a strong odor or irritate my skin. It even works well on dark and light facial hair.

Disappointed. I have used this product for years and was always happy with the results. Was unable to find it anywhere for a while but found it back on Amazon. The formula was changed, all of a sudden it was burning my face which wasn't a problem before. Even after using the cream which is a follow-up my face turned red and itched for days.

I've been using this product for many years. It works beautifully. Sometimes I need to leave it on a minute or two longer above my lip but otherwise it's a wonderful product. If anyone should be interested, it DOES NOT work on areas that have been previously shaved, as a friend of mine found out.

Well I'm still going with it this does not work very well for me similar to what another person said that the product I used before is the one they replaced. That was quite well I have to do it more often now because I think I'm getting towards menopause so it comes back more often I've always had it since it's probably in my 20s cuz I'm half Italian. Anyway I've tried two boxes so far using it just like I used it with the other product even though I was initially being careful to make sure there was no reaction. It doesn't seem to get near what the other kind did or formula whatever. Now I always get a little stubble left over but this makes it feel like I'm a porcupine and a lot of other things around me but it just adds to ugliness to try to find a man. Yes I want to do it for myself but I also don't want my partner if I had to find one they have to deal with woman that looks like a man because the facial hair. Company sending me some coupons that I'm not going to be able to use because they don't have it anywhere in store in my area and they don't use any of their other products the only thing I care about was getting rid of my facial hair. I'm hoping in time maybe it will work better but also if someone else said it no irritation whatsoever similarly to the other formula I mean there's a little bit of irritation in a very very beginning but I think that's because of the more prickly aspects.

This stuff worked very well for me! I was a little bit nervous about buying any kind of hair removal product, but I knew I wanted to do something about the hair on my face! I spot tested it first, then waited till the next day to dive in. I applied it in sections to my face. I started with the right half, applying it on my jaw line and my cheek. I was so embarrassed but I praticially had a side burn that went all the way down to my jaw. Not super dark, but in the right light it was pretty unsightly. I was unsure if it would help since that hair was a little bit thicker than the light peach fuzz hairs I had on my check. I waited about 5 minutes before taking a damp cloth over it. It took it all off with no problem! I repeated the process again and used the product on my upper lip, as well as my chin, again to try to attack the peach fuzz I had going on...again it worked perfectly. Finished up with the left side of my face. I then applied the lotion provided in the kit and put it on twice over the next 12 hours or so. I experienced no burning, no breakout, and again the hair came off super easily. It has been two weeks since I used this product and the hair has not returned. The lotion really helps your skin feel super soft! I all ready feel better about my facial appearance and no longer feel self-conscious!! If you are one of those ladies that are blessed with hair...almost everywhere, I highly recommend using this product. Most important tip is to spot test it first, and use the lotion! :)
