SkyCaddie SGX Temporary Cart Mount

The temporary cart mount is adaptable. It works on my walking cart as well as various walking carts when I'm away from home. Also adapts to electric cart when needed.Holds Sky Caddie more securely than the first ones did. Holds the Sky Caddie is front of me so I can always tell the distance without fumbling around looking for it dangling off my bag or belt.

Ordered the wrong bracket, it doesn't fit my SG 2.5. Was able to trade it with a friend who has an SGX and it works fine.

After about 10 round of golf the mount has a crack in the mount clip and it is getting larger. This is the second time I have had a problem with the mount. The first skycaddie cart mount, the clip broken in half (into two pieces) and this one has a crack in the turning clip. I am not sure if the material this is being used is strong enough for the job. I haven used skycaddie mounts for 10 years and the SGX cart mount has broken twice. Works great when not broken.

Great product and great compliment to the SGX, so you don't have to hand-carry it or have it rattling around in your cart. Holds the unit securely to the cart and is able to be angled just right for use. Easy to 'install' and uninstall the SGX if you can't get the cart to an area and want to get exact yardage. I think if there's one negative (and this is really reaching) it's that it's so low-profile, I darn near forget to take it off the cart after a round; almost did that just yesterday (a friend said he's had a similar problem with cigar holders, he forgets them on the cart windshield frame).

This works well to hold my new SkyCaddie and provides an easy viewing position during a round of golf. It will also fit on most power carts.

I ordered this product a few days ago and am returning it tomorrow. Let me first say I owned a similar product for my SG5 and it worked like a charm. This product has a weird way it attaches to the SkyCaddie and will causes scratches and mars to the case whenever the unit is removed and installed in the holder. It DOES hold the unit securely but if keeping your unit in like new condition is your goal in my opinion this is not the unit for you.

I don't know why others complain about it, if you tighten it like a VICE of course your going to break it!!! Tighten snug so it isn't going to fall off, and it will support your SkyCaddie! I use it on my bagboy push cart, and it will fit any push or pull cart!!! I have used it on a Yamaha cart as well and it will fit on any golf cart or push or pull cart! I can't really think of a golf car or cart it wouldn't fit on. Just don't use it like a vise in a shop or I can see where it might break from over tightening, but it's sturdy, so it's worth the money!!! If this one broke, I'd get another, very handy!

I like the temporary mount however it has already broken where the small piece which rotates off of the ball joint.
