Can’t recommend highly enough
This product is a total game changer. I have been struggling with trigger thumb for 3 months after an injury, without hope of medical attention during the pandemic. I know that these injuries can take months to heal and require immobilisation. For a while I had been using a strap on splint that went round my wrist and up the thumb. It was good, but bulky, and restricted what I could do. Also I couldn’t get it wet or dirty, or wash my hands frequently as we are encouraged to do during the pandemic. I read that the oval-8 supports are what the medical profession uses, but they are expensive and I had no idea what size I would need, so this full set of a similar product looked great value. It was super useful having all the sizes to experiment with. Especially as for the first couple of days I found I needed 2 or 3 together to form a full frame round my thumb, as it was still clicking with just one. After that, I have found just the size 10 on its own is all I need (I have big thumbs for a girl!). It’s important to get the right fit for optimal use from this product. When you do, it may feel a bit stiff and uncomfortable for the first 10 minutes, but after that you barely know you’re wearing it. I can use my thumb almost normally, even write with the splint on, and miraculously I have no pain or clicking, and my thumb feels supported. Also I can wash my hands, and do dirty jobs such as caring for my horse and pets, with the support on, knowing it’s easy to clean. I feel I can wear this for as long as it takes for my thumb to heal without inconvenience. At night I still use the wrist/thumb splint to vary the pressure points. Great to have a full set of sizes for any future eventualities.

good product
I got these for a friend when they had mallet finger, it was a recommendation from a physio, it worked and they finger is now fine although it took a few months before the recovery was complete. it is worth buying the full set as my friend ended up changing between a few sizes

Good price compared to some and works well for me.
Bought to relive pain from trigger thumb. The beauty of this product is the full set of sizes at a good price, ordering on line can cause upset and extra cost if you get it wrong. I’ve discovered that the size of my thumb alters during the day so two are needed. Now my other thumb is developing the same problem so this set covers all bases. They are ingenious little splints that work very well at immobilising any of your digits, I was using a bit of an ice lolly stick strapped on with micropore tape, worked but inconvenient for hand washing or if you need to slip it off for any reason i.e. doing up buttons etc. These you can easily slip on and off when required. To try to reduce the swelling the splint really needs to be left on at night to continue immobilisation, allowing the tendon to hopefully heal, these splints are quite comfortable but at night I stick a small piece of material strapping tape under the plastic to give a little padding. These splints are working well for me, giving instant pain relief. Highly recommended due to effectiveness and cost.

OK, but not for long-term use!
These splints have a few pros and cons, which i will highlight below; Pros: - They offer a good range of sizes so you can really get a feel for what size you would be. - If you are Caucasian they are quite discreet, and, as I am, this is a pro. However, if I were Black or Hispanic, I would put this in the 'cons' list as they are not particularly attractive and would stand out. - They do provide good stability if you find that right size. Cons: - They only provide one of each size, so if you had problems with a joint on both fingers, you'd have to invest another, roughly, £15 to get one more in your size... This is not to buy another set, the individual splints are this expensive in most cases!! - They do not offer half sizes. I didnt realise how much of a difference this would make! My thumbs are both technically a 7.5. The 7 really is too small and tight and the 8 is too loose and keeps slipping off. There is a big difference to be honest. - They are not very attractive. As I said in the 'pros' section, this isn't too much of an issue if you are Caucasian, but if you are not, they will look obvious and unattractive. - They are not terribly comfortable. The material they are made from is hard and not completely rounded, you can still feel a sharpish edge around it. With my hypermobility, I hyperextend my thumb naturally, so, while wearing the splint has made the joint feel much more stable, it also tends to dig into my skin, especially around my cuticle, which has became very sore. As you can see, there are a few more cons than pros. They have shown me the great benefits of wearing ring splints for my unstable joints, but i couldn't wear these for longer than about an hour. I have since invested in some made-to-measure silver ones from a different online store which are much more comfortable, wearable and attractive. Of course, they were also much more expensive, but you get what you pay for. I don't completely regret buying these as they helped me to get an accurate sizing and gave me a little insight into the benefits of wearing ring splints, but as a long-term aid, they do not fit the bill I'm afraid. If you are nervous about whether or not ring splints would work for you, therefore wouldn't want to invest in expensive ones straight away, and you are not too bothered about essential losing this amount of money, then I would recommend getting these. Honestly though, I would suggest researching bespoke UK ring splint makers on a well known online shop, beginning with 'E' and ending in 'y', who will talk you through how to measure properly and offer guidance and reassurance to you about how to wear them. Hope this helps

Oval 8 splints.
Not one for writing many reviews but I just had to with this one. I’ve had trigger finger (Middle finger left hand) for around 6 months and I googled it and it shown me some exercising techniques, which to be frankly didn’t really work. Due to the pandemic I also didn’t want to call a GP as they have enough on right now so I stuck with it hoping it would go away. My left middle finger was croaked and no matter what exercises I did didn’t help. After 6 months I googled again and I found oval 8 finger splints. I then researched these a bit and thought why not. I doubt they’ll work but I’ll give it a go. At first on looking to purchase just one on one site it says you can only buy one and to measure your finger circumference with some string. I did this and it said a size 8. Reluctant to buy this and it not be the right size I went on Amazon and found these.... all sizes. No brainier I bought them. Luckily for me too. I’m a size 12/13 and not an 8. I put one on, and within a week, see the pics. My finger is now straight (Wish I’d taken a pic when bent) and also it’s becoming easier to bend into a fist fist shape without locking. Basically these are like leg casts. They protect the leg but you can still walk with crutches. These allow you to still use the hand but stops the finger from bending fully. I leave this on all the time night and day and continue with light duty work. I reckon within the full 6 weeks it’ll be fully healed and I’ll then be able to remove it do light finger exercises and have my finger back to full mobility. Plus if it does ever return I now have a full pack. If you have trigger finger, stop reading and click buy. You'll thank Me for it later.

Idea is great not so in use, sadly
Great idea BUT for my fingers they did just not work. Made my finger very sore and caused a bruise above the knuckle - the plastic (or whatever) is very rigid and not conducive to wearing on the finger. Tried wearing various sizes both one way and then the other, but still had same result. In fact, the plastic seems to me to be cheap and nasty and, also, the cost is, actually, very over-the-top as far as I am concerned. I am returning the goods, as I feel that they are not for me and definitely not worth the cost. Of course, they may well suit some, but an addition to the annoyance and pain in the fingers already in evidence else why else try these things, they are definitely not required when you have a problem already?

most of these splints are huge. I have hyper mobility in my hands n tjought these might help.. only three of these splints were usable for my normal lady size fingers.. the rest are for giant man fingers
