Q: Can I buy a standard 3’x16’ shade to fit a pergola that is 13’ in length? Tight budget and custom is out of my price point.

Did you end up purchasing? If so, how did it turn out? I have a 14’ pergola and I’m looking at the standard size, but I’m worried that there will be too much of a dip.

Q: I have a tight vertical clearance. When the fabric is retracted what are the dimensions-from the top of the carabiner to the bottom of the pleats?

Approximately 15 to 16 inches from the top of the cable to the bottom pleat when retracted on a 7 x 24 foot shade.

Q: Do the wire cables need to be more or less level, or can there be a 15" vertical variance across the width of the shade (not the length)?

Probably not. The cloth slides in the slightest wind if not anchored at both ends.

Q: Can this be attached to something other than a pergola?

Yes we attached it to a wall and fence. You can put it up in a lot of different ways
