MORE MAGNUS TIME!!
You gotta love those short little quick reads…and yet, even with time pressing on me to get to other things, I still can’t help but want MORE! Crimson Dagger was yet another super short story by the awesome Morgan Rhodes featuring the AMAZING Magnus! If you told me when I started Falling Kingdoms that I would eventually LOVE Magnus, I would’ve laughed in your face! LOL! To say that Magnus has changed over the course of the series is an understatement. But when you read some of these short stories of his, even Crimson Dagger which takes place before Falling Kingdoms, you can see he had the potential to win our hearts from the very beginning! In this story, Magnus must right a wrong that he did way back when he was a child. When seventeen-year-old Kara comes to him in the dead of night, knife at his throat demanding that her father, whom he (unintentionally) had arrested ten years ago be freed, he feels obligated to try!Not only do we get to see that memory fully fleshed, but we also see him make an attempt to carry out her request. Again, totally short and quick, but totally 100% Magnus filled! Lol! It’s just further proof of why I’ve grown to love this dude so thoroughly. Even seeing the man he was before the series started just confirms what I’ve come to know about him! A MUST read for all Magnus fans!Overall Rating 5/5 stars

Good short read that dives a little deeper into Magnus and the facade he tries to hold up as best he can.

Nice prequel
I haven't read this series but when I looked on goodreads it showed this prequel so I thought I would start with this. It was short but I found it intriguing enough that I want to try another book in the series.

Morgan Rhodes has the best writing I swear.
I loved everything about this short novella on Magnus. I found my self missing his witty remarks and all of him. Then I found these on amazon and had to get them. I’m so happy I did because I really missed his character. I wish I had more I really really wish I had more. I need more on this series. I wish it was never over.

Magnus story time is my favorite
Any time Magnus is the narrator is my favorite. He is the most complex character so I love any insight to him. I would recommend reading this if you love the Fallen Kingdoms series. It is not required to understand the rest of the books but seeing a younger Magnus is something I enjoyed.

Falling Kingdom Novella
I enjoyed it because it gave us back story to a character. I disliked it because it was too short and I didnt really feel connected with the other two people in the story. I don't get the connection to Mangus then and him now and how this story relates.

A must read for Magnus fans!
This is the first novella that made me cry! If you want to know more about Magnus, you want to read this book; he isn't as evil as he claims to be! In fact, he has the biggest heart!
