October the Octopus: A Huggable Concept Book About the Months of the Year

This was a used book that was just like new!!!! I have 5 granddaughters ages 3-7, they all enjoyed this fun book!

We are designers and LOVE the idea of this book, why do they all have to have 4 sides and a front and back cover so for that its a pretty cool "book". having said that I Wish it was easier to open, its pretty hard to keep open for the little one and its hard to hold while open, but Our 16 month old loves it, so I guess thats all that counts.

Bought this as a donation as my daughter asked that 1st birthday party-goers bring a toy, book or coloring book/crayons to be given to the Children's Hospital in lieu of a gift for my grandson's 1st birthday. Loved this so much, I had to buy one for him. It's a very clever way to teach about the months.

I saw this book in a shop in Southport, NC. It was $25 there and I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much. I found this and was happy with the price, not to mention it was on prime. I got it for my daughter to give it to her at Christmas. So I'm not sure if it will be a hit with her, but it sure is a hit with me! I love this thing, it's so cool!

It's cute and I like it but the animal the October the octopus catches each month is on the next page. So one page will say January and the next page will list lion fish, and underneath it is Februar. This makes it confusing for my baby to remember which animal was caught when. My son likes the book tho, but doesn't go back to it often, like he does with some other bookies that he loves.

My 11 month old daughter loves this book. It is highly interactive and educational teaching about each month of the year, animals, colors (each tentacle is a different color), and has interactive textures for children to touch and feel. The head is soft and squishy which makes it a good toy for an infant. If your child likes Monday the Bullfrog (teaches days of the week) they will likely also like this one.

Found this book originally in a Store, and found it for a much better price on Amazon. Very Cute book and interactive for toddlers. Seconds as a toy, and is very durable. Arrived in package as showed in picture, box intact. Arrived on time. Have several other books they make similar to this. All very cute

Absolutely adorable book. Not only is it a stuffed animal as well as a book but each page is a different month of the year with a different animal as well as a description of the weather that time of month. Educational and fun.

Really awesome book for kids to learn the months!

まず、で、でかい・・・。想像していたものの1.5倍くらいありました。A4ノートの上にちょうど乗るくらいの幅で、高さもかなりあるので、書籍のつもりで買うと置く場所に迷います。　クッションの効いたフワフワのタコさんの口を開けると、何ページものボードブックになっています。そのすべてのページから（タコさんの口から）布でできた立体的な生き物の一部（手とかヒレとか）がはみ出しているという、贅沢なつくり。ですが、その一つ一つが、ガサガサ鳴ったり、キンキラだったり、ツルツルだったり、ふわふわだったり・・・、あれ、これって、乳幼児さん向けの布ブックと同じ作り方ではないですか。タコさんの足も１本１本ぜんぶ違う色でカラフルだし、どう見ても乳幼児向けの装丁？？？　ですが、本の内容はなかなか高度です。タコさんが１月から１２月まで毎月生き物を捕まえてくる（それで口に入れる）という前提ながら、月ごとの季節の説明が書いてあり、その表現の単語もいくつも出てくるので（例えば２月なら ...freezes with snow, sleet, and hail、８月なら ...sweltering, humid, and hot,）赤ちゃん用と思ってあなどっていると慌てます。さらに、１２月まで説明して終わりではなく、最後はちゃんと楽しいオチまでついていて、すごく良く考えてつくってあるな〜と感心してしまいました。　ただ、ぬいぐるみのクッションが効きすぎて、ものすごくタコの口を開けにくいです。（クッションの反発で、常に口が閉じている状態に戻ろうとする）　４歳息子は大喜びで、もう１種類のカエルの方（曜日の本）も買うことになりそうです・・・・。PS　見直したら、商品説明の商品パッケージの寸法間違ってますよ！　実際は19cm×19cm×高さ16cmありますよ！
