My First Mother Goose: A CarryAlong Treasury (Carry Along Books) Board book – October 6, 2009

Started reading this to infant a few weeks old. Her favorite became "One Two Buckle My Shoe" because I'd tap her little hands or feet on the book in time with the rhythm of the verse. Before long, she'd see the book and start tapping on it, and fuss a bit until Grandma got to the right page. As she got a little older, I used the drawings to point out the doggie, the horse, the spoon, and later she'd respond when I asked "Which one is the doggie?" Later still, I would make slight changes to a word in a poem --- "Wasn't that a dainty dish to set before the king?" became "...yukky dish" or "...scary dish..." or "...huge dish" or "salty dish".

This book came in excellent condition and I know my grand daughter loved it. Good seller.

My granddaughter loves to carry this around by the handle. The illustrations are brightly colored and you can't go wrong teaching your children Mother Goose nursery rhymes. A classic.

We bought this for our baby 16 years ago, and several children later, the book finally gave out. We happily replaced this classic for another little one so that she can hear the Mother Goose rhymes that her siblings grew up with. This is a classic with fun appealing animal illustrations.

As others have stated it is a very colorful book and has your traditional well-known nursery rhymes. I know the handle is for carrying, but I find it gets in the way. I've even pinched my fingers between the handle and the book. I would have preferred the book without the handle, but I'm still very satisfied with this book and its purchase price.

This is a very cute collection of Mother Goose rhymes. The book seems very sturdy, though I worry about the handle. I kindof wish it didn't have it. The illustrations are beautiful and bright. I hope that my son will love it.

Both my children didn't take much interest in books until around the time they were two--with the exception of THIS book.I don't know whether it is the beautiful, detailed illustrations of animal characters or the rhythm and rhyme of the Mother Goose verses, but both my children really loved this book from a very young age.My two year old still loves this book and it is one of his favourite bedtime books.A nice feature is the clasp that closes the book, and the little handle so children can carry the book around with them easily.I would highly recommend My First Mother Goose for baby shower gifts or first birthday gifts.

Bel libro con alcune delle piu' famose nursery rhymes. Ottimo e originale il formato, rigido e a forma di valigetta, mia figlia se ne e' subito innamorata.
