solid hammer and bought on sale with the Prime deals... sometimes the 3 or 4 pound mallet doesnt do the job first strike while on the go projects... 5 star because of quality, but handle could be 12 inches instead of the 16 .. six pounds takes a steady strong arm to use as a hammer style pounding method... you need short handle to fit in tool box on the go verses the longer 30 inch or 24 inch.... well worth purchase as was 50 percent off on prime deal day !! My buddy and I sometimes get frustrated, working on cars and joke about taking the Jeremy Clarkson approach, by whacking it mercilessly with a hammer. So, I decided to make that joke a reality and buy him a doozy. This hammer not only made him laugh, when he opened the package, but it’s really a nice looking one. So, it has become a treasured tool and does its job quite nicely. He has since whacked a bunch of things with it and has found that immensely satisfying. I have not had the honors with it yet, which might be a good thing, since that would mean my car would too easily be within reach. I’m not sure why Amazon wants me to rate this “for working out.” It’s not a kettlebell, for goodness sake, so I only gave it 3-stars in that category. But, this hammer really scores a solid 5-stars in my book. Make someone happy and buy them one of these. They’re awesome.

This thing is a brute. I bought it with a wedge to split firewood. Getting the wedge started is the only difficult part, which is little to do with the sledge. Once it's time to drop that head, you don't even have to wind up that far. I'm glad I bought this and not a 3 or 4lb head. This does the job, and will wear you our. I love it. Should it fall apart, I'll update this review.

Exactly what you want for suspension work. Made everything come apart in less than 3 hits on a GMC Sierra 2500HD. The one tool you can have that will pay for itself in time saved job after job. Excellent quality.
