Describing this tool box as rugged may be overstating it’s durability as the plastic walls are not as thick as they could be and although the clasp is metal, it grips a rather thin piece of plastic. That said, compared to other boxes at this price point it is good value and robust enough for domestic use. The size hits the sweet spot between carrying capacity and bulk and I like that the handle locks into place and there are none of those silly little compartments on the top.

This tool box turned out to be exactly what i needed!As usual, I was fighting against time to complete my shopping list before same day delivery ended - i don't know why I always do it, perhaps it is because there is soo much choice! I literally had seconds left and came upon this item and after quickly checking the specs, i slammed the BuyNow button and managed to get just in time. I knew that I had really cut it close this time and started wondering if this product bought in haste and without proper research, would satisfy my needs: I wanted a bigger tool box, but needed it to be portable - essentially I needed a slightly bigger version of my old yellow one in the pic. I'm used to the clasps on these cheaper boxes being awful, but I was so surprised to see that this box has an extremely sturdy and effective closing mechanism! It also has a very useful top tray sitting on top of a large storage space below which will be perfectly adequate for my purposes (please do forgive the mess, i'm just moving in lol!)

The clasp can pop off with the slightest nudge or knock.

Dispite what some reviews and the question seems to answer, you can lock this toolbox with a padlock (see photo).It is fairly large and fitted all of my tools in - after using a multitude of boxes for years. It feels pretty sturdy and overall I am happy.I just wish it had some storage trays on top for bits.

Looks good and feels rugged but much too small as a general Toolbox! Unable to accommodate a standard size hammer, most electrical screwdrivers. The upper tool tray inside is too shallow. Really cannot hold much at all. Could be a useful Fishing Tackle box? Not much use to me though, I need to send it back for a refund!

A very good box - durable and well designed. I am using mine for storing sugar-crafting materials, so it is perfect. If using for DIY tools, some people may find it a little on the small side. Would be perfect for a smaller amount of tools, but wouldn't hold a full collection of trade tools. I have included some images comparing it in size to a standard 30cm ruler and a standard tin of soup. The box has a built-in hasp to take a lockable padlock.

can't use it as clasp for locking it is missing, been trying to get a replacement part, followed instructuions only to be told by the company i have to sort it with amazon but on the amazon part it gives a link to the manufacturer, so been going round in circles, now got to sort out a returns, total pain in the backside
