Complete Wilderness Training Manual Paperback – April 30, 2007

My oldest son is an avid hiker and bought this book a while ago. My youngest son just transitioned from cub scouts to boy scouts and was getting ready to go on his first camping trip with his troop. He kept reading this book and decided he wanted his own copy. It was only 2 days until his trip but I ordered it with Prime shipping in hopes that it would arrive in time for me to surprise him. I could tell he was a bit nervous about his trip. A half an hour before he had to leave, the book arrived! He was so excited and couldn't wait to show his fellow pack members. I haven't read the book but both of my sons say it has a lot of useful information in it. I paid full price for this book and do not have a relationship with the seller. I bought this solely for personal use.

Great instruction on a variety of wilderness survival situations. Great info in a small and easy to carry package. A good addition to your pack when going on a trek in the wilderness for a couple of days. You can get larger versions of the same book, but this is what you would take with you if you wanted a reference that wont run out of batteries. The info is great and could save your life.

Lots of information, print is very very small. Like 6-8 font. Not for those who have trouble with small print. Will be placing magnifying sheet in the book. Would give 5 stars if font was bigger, more reader friendly

Oh My God! This book OVER delivered on my expectations! Having this manual with you is akin to having a Survival Guide with you, at all times! I'm a female without a lot of 'outdoorsy' experience and I feel confident in the skills that I am learning just from studying this manual! There are a lot of accompanying pics and illustrations and step-by-step stuff that makes it easier for a beginner yet challenging and informative for a pro. Good buy.

Comprehensive & handy!

great book for a refresher not as a real guide to do things not very detailed an example is they have 1 page on making a gill net So not an instructional book more of a hey remember this sorta book.

This is a good book for boyscouts and anyone else that wants to pick up a technique or two that perhaps they didn't know. Overall it is a fast-passed read with great photographs for a basic wilderness book.

Print is too small without my glasses. Lots of good information in it, but the print needs to be larger.
