Amazon Basics Pet Cave Bed for Dog, With Removal Nesting Cave Cover, Fits up to 35lbs Pets, 30 x 30 x 12.5 inches, Blue

Very well made bed. Had I known about Amazon Basics brand sooner, I would have gotten two of these earlier. The other bed I purchased was a Snoozer XL and it arrived in a super compact state; the filler was even compressed and is therefore not as squishy and comfy as this Amazon Basics bed. The dog pictured is about 41 lbs, so it's perfect for her size (my other dog is a 70 lb pittie and he also fits on the bed).The 'hood' does detach, whereas the Snoozer one is permanently attached. Having the hood detach for washing the cover was another plus for this bed. The zippers are heavy duty and the 'sheepskin' is soft (I haven't washed the cover yet, so I don't know if it will pill). This bed arrived ready to use out of the box (very basic packaging); the filler was not compressed, so the bed is definitely more fluffy. This is the XL size and it is smaller than the Snoozer XL size but fits the corner of my room better. This is definitely worth the money.

My beagle Sophie crawl/snuggled into her new bed right away. There was no hesitation. I went looking for her later in the day and she had snuggled back into her new bed again! A little pricey but so worth it.

I bought this bed not knowing if my dog would burrow under the blanket. She loves it! I may buy one with a more uniform cushion next for her. They all cost considerably more. This one is has bumpy, foam pieces as fill, which is okay for some dogs. Older dogs need a firmer, flatter mattress in my opinion. I’ll upgrade when the time comes. This has removable and washable cover, another plus. The faux-fleece is warming, so good for dogs who like/need more warmth. Overall the quality is good for the price point.

Until today, I would have given this bed 5 stars. When I was looking for a new pet bed, I searched for “waterproof” and “machine washable”. My bad for not verifying those attributes before purchasing as I have learned Amazon search results are not reliable.Today one of my dogs peed on the floor and dragged his bed over it. When I discovered it, I wasn’t concerned because it is waterproof and machine washable. Uh, no it is not. The cushion was wet and was too big to adequately fit in my washer and I could tell the fabric wouldn’t hold up so I hand washed in the tub. But by this evening it was still pretty wet so I tossed it in the dryer on low - by itself - to get the damp out. Well, when I took it out, the cushion had ripped open.Meanwhile, I put the cover in the washing machine. It washed okay, but the plastic part that helps the the opening stay open came out and broke. I cannot find a hole to attempt to put it back in.I am really irritated that it isn’t better made.

Great value for the money. Really easy to clean. It's held up well. I haven't slept in it but the dog seems to think it's pretty comfortable.

I noticed our frenchie puppy 5 4months old) was digging in his old bed and that of his dog sisters bed. I bought him this bed with a hood in hopes he’d stop doing that. He absolutely loved this bed from the get-go! He’ll bury himself in it and poke his head out or just lay outside of the “cave”. It’s a bit big for him right now (he’s only 14 lbs) but as he gets bigger the bed size will be perfect for him.

Disappointed in this product. The top covering part of the bed that is supposed to make it den like was WAY to short- not enough of the bed was actually covered so it ended up being difficult for my dog to get underneath. There was also a rigid wire sewn into the edge of the top covering piece. My dog hated this part as well- it made the top stick up when the dog managed to get underneath. It soon poked through the fabric and became a hazard- this was after only about a week of use. We were outside of the return window because we purchased the bed but did not use it right away because we wanted to make sure the dog was not in a chewing stage. When the dog was on the bed and underneath the top part did not offer full coverage. For the price I was expecting something a better quality. Also there was so much shedding of the fleece lining. In summary, the top barely covered, the rigid wire / pole was not comfortable and soon poked through material, material was not very durable and the lining shedded a lot. So super disappointed. We are frequent users of the Amazon branded product and this was so sub standard. We were really hoping for an affordable alternative to a cozy cave. This WAS NOT it.
