Awesome indoor alternative to an outside vent.
Love this thing! I live in an apartment that has a small laundry facility. With all the other tenants here it was a nightmare trying to get laundry done and I started going to the local laundry mat to get all the laundry done every week. That added up pretty fast and I was faced with the need to relocate to someplace that I could have my own washer and dryer or figure something else out.I researched apartment sized washers and dryers and found an awesome brand designed for yachts or RV's called Splendide. Splendide makes their own HE brand of detergent which works so much better with the machines than Gain or Tide. Their detergent doesn't gum up the inside of the machine. These appliances would run on my regular wiring with no issues and they had a ventless model dryer. It said that it would take quite a while to dry (the ventless model) so I got the vented machine instead and used a long nylon over the vent to contain the lint. That worked ok but not well enough to suit me.I researched additional inside dryer vent systems. I didn't want an ongoing cost of purchasing air filters for some of the better systems which were already expensive enough the way it was. The cheaper vent kits looked like they could be a huge mess or just down right ineffective. After scouring reviews and looking for venting options until my eyes bugged out, I finally came across this little beauty. It has a screen filter that has a handle to turn to remove the lint effectively with out the constant need to replace any filters. The water section that catches the remainder of the lint is a pull out drawer at the bottom that can easily be refilled every week and slides back into the unit with out any hassle. There was no need to cut any holes in the landlords wall to ventilate. No more going to the laundromat! The dryer vent works better than the other models I researched and I am happy about this purchase. I needed a vent hose to connect the kit to the dryer which I purchased on Amazon also. I went with white to match the appliances and the vent box sits on the floor right up against the machines by the wall.I've had this for several weeks now and I am absolutely thrilled with the purchase and at a very reasonable price point. Would definitely buy again without hesitation, and I highly recommend this vent kit to anyone having issues that are similar to mine.

Wow! Incredible! Love my Dryer Vent!
I wish I bought this sooner! I have my washer and dryer in my outdoor patio for 20 years. I used to have the dryer hose behind my dryer. Then recently my dryer stopped working. When the old dryer was removed there was a lot of lint build up behind my washer and the wall where my old dryer was. When the new dryer was placed back, I decided to have the hose beside the dryer so that the lint would not build up behind the dryer. Now the lint was floating out to the patio. My husband wanted me to put a pantyhose but then I would be having to change it and I dont think it would look good. I would sweep it up but thought I will search on Amazon. There was so many to choose from. This dryer vent trap works great! It was expensive though but it will last a long time. I read the reviews and this one seemed the one for me. I could have picked other ones that were cheaper but I’m glad I did not. I used my dryer a few times before doing this review. I put water in the dryer vent trap like it says to but you really don’t need to. I think the water is to catch the lint from floating. I empty out water when I’m done drying for the day.My patio does not have little lint fragments everywhere anymore. I love it!

PURCHASED 2-16-2020... still using!
PURCHASED 2-16-2020 (total was $48.71)@ $65.95 April 2023, it is the most expensive indoor dryer vent system. My opinion, it is grossly overpriced. You may want to shop around.I have used a couple different indoor dryer vent systems designed to contain the lint, using with a full size washer/dryer laundry center (stack unit). The particular design compared to all others I have tried does help to contain more of the lint, what cuts back on dryer dust blowing into the closet and house, but it does not contain 100% of it.A couple suggestions--Use a stronger dryer hose (see photo), not the flimsy kind. When filling the tray with water from the top, or removing the box to clean, when re-attaching the hose, the heavier kind is easier to put back over the round opening, and it also stays down and in place without having to deal with a clamp even with the dryer running.-I have my lint box sitting in a oblong bucket (see photo) that has a handle, what also helps to contain dryer dust. The bucket makes it easier to grab by the handle and take into the bathtub to clean out every couple weeks.-The screen/filter panel door that pops off has a lever that turns, what collects the dust on the inside part of the screen (no filter is needed). You MUST spin/turn this lever after each load, as you want the air to flow out through that screen. Doing this also helps to cut back on the dust. I take that panel off after a couple loads to pull out the collected dust on that panel, rinse it off, dry, and put back on.-The tray that holds water on the bottom, water evaporates rather quick because of the heat blowing into it, so it needs to be checked and filled periodically. I dump the water out after several loads and refill, as it does collect a lot of lint.-Because I use my dryer every other day, I clean the entire box every couple weeks, rinsing it out. The better you keep it cleaned out, keep ample water in it, removing lint from the screen, and also cleaning out the dryers lint trap after each load, all this helps to keep the dryer dust contained and not blowing into your home. Also, make sure to clean the dryer hose out. I wipe out the inside of the hose with a felt wand designed for that, and stick my vacuum hose up in it to suck out lose dust, doing that every couple months.

It's perfect! Thank you for helping us breathe relatively lint-free air
Have had it for more than four years. It works perfectly (that is, if you clean it regularly, of course) and it continues to help us breathe relatively lint-free air, hopefully for many more years to come.
