I wanted to love these pants
I wanted to love these pants, but in end had to return them because of a few critical issues.First the good: the fit is fantastic if you want a true slim fit. I think fit problems are caused by people wearing these pants around their hips; it's meant to be worn around the waist. I have a 29" natural waist and ordered the 28" and it fit *perfectly*. It's got a high crotch, so it's gonna show off your junk a bit. Whether this is a benefit or a liability is left up to you. 🙂 Despite the slim fit, mobility is excellent thanks to the material. You can really stretch these things without worrying about ripping anything. The nylon fabric seems very tough. Now the bad. The first problem was the color. I ordered "Mud"; in the picture online, it's a pleasing medium brownish-khaki, but in person it's much more green, especially in sunlight. The color is not at all like what is pictures and isn't attractive at all. I've attached a picture. The second problem is the fabric thickness. It is extremely thin. When you have anything at all in the pockets, they bulge out and it looks weird. People are going to know exactly what you have in those pockets, and forget about concealed carry. These are simply not pants for carrying a lot of stuff in the pockets. And the pockets themselves are a thin mesh material so I doubt their longevity. The water-repellent coating was not a benefit to me since I live where it never rains--instead it's hot and sunny. That's problem #3: hot weather performance. My legs got hot super fast wearing these pants. Much hotter much faster than my heavy indigo denim jeans. Must be the material. Doesn't seem designed for breathability or rejecting solar heat gain.I think these could be excellent pants for someone thin who does a lot of outdoor activities in moderate-to-cool drizzly weather and won't use the pockets. If that doesn't describe you, there are probably better options.

Not sure what’s happening with Prana
I own a lot of Prana clothes, so I’m quite familiar with their fit. I have always worn their 33x32s in both jeans and their stretch Zion fabric. I decided to replace my old mud Brion pants with a pair of these charcoal ones since mine have become worn. I was a little surprised after trying them on how long and wider they’ve become. I took out the measuring tape and sure enough the new ones were a 1/4” wider and a little more than 1.5” longer (see picture). I then measured the inseam (crotch to bottom of the pant leg) and they measured out to 35” long. I called Prana and they told me I must have received a “mislabeled” pair. I ordered the exact same ones (again) and they were just as long and wide. I then ordered a pair of 30” inseams to see if that would correct the problem but those seem to have gone the extra short route (also in the picture). Those had a 3.5” difference! Not sure if they changed Chinese manufacturer, but they might want to recheck their quality control. I’m now drowning in these pants and the bottoms are so wide they are flapping in the wind. I’m returning them. It’s unfortunate....it’s one of my favorite brand of clothes and this isn’t the first peace of clothing that I’ve seen inconsistencies with. If you go to their website (and this one) and read some of the reviews you will see how inconsistent their sizing is across their clothes. It’s a crapshoot since their size guide is the same for all of their clothes

overweight and oversize, but I still approve.
First off, these are not 7.6 ounces. I weighed my pair today (size 31x30) and they are 11.4 ounces so way off there. My second contention is the sizing. I am 5.10, 140 lbs, I usually fit well into a size 31 waist, however these were quite big, I could easily fit a fist between the pants and my waist. The inseam length is very good and spot on. Materials, fit and finish, and overall look is great. They look like regular pants, so they should function fine in an office environment and on the trails/adventures. I have a size 30 coming, hopefully that will fit just right. Wanted to pass along my initial thoughts....these things are still a thumbs up from me since they look like normal pants and can fill the need in so many different situations.

Durable and stylish
I started out wearing and climbing in the Zion stretch pant. Loved em so much I decided to try another style, The Brion. These are a little more snug than the Zion but not skin tight. Imo, the perfect fit. These are simple pants with a clean look. I bought multiple pairs and switch between these and the Zion. They basically make up most of my wardrobe now.The fabric has a nice stretch to it which works well for yoga and climbing. At first glance I figured these wouldn't hold up to climbing but I gave em a shot.Long story short I had about an hour long battle with a boulder route at a brand new gym in town. For those who have spent any time climbing new holds you know they can have an almost sandpaper texture. Anyways, there was a move that continued to rub the same spot on my inner calf. I remember thinking at the gym that this pair would probably be designated "only climbing" since they would likely be shredded. I checked out the pants later on. Other than chalk the fabric looked great and held up really well. Don't be afraid to climb hard in these!

Awesome slim-fit travel pants.
Love these pants for travel and hiking. Very lightweight and packs very small. They are definitely a slim fit, but the stretch material makes them ridiculously comfortable. They are a "straight-leg" cut, so they don't really taper at the bottom, which I think explains the "bell-bottom," comment by some, since modern street wear tends to be slim/tapered. But if you wear these with hiking boots, these will sit better than a tapered leg.I'm not crazy about the mesh pockets; they don't have as much "structure" so they feel a bit flimsy and tend to pull inside out when taking something larger like a phone out of the pocket. But, the flip side is that they're thin, comfortable and won't hold water if you wade through a river. The lightweight nylon material makes them very "long" wearing; I wore these several days in a row while camping, hiking and on the road and they just don't feel dirty. Love these pants. I've bought two more.

Good fit and feel! Nice stretch and flexibility
Generally hard to find the smaller waist sizes, but this one does work well and feels super comfortable with a nice stretch and fit. The only negative thing I can say about this is that I wish they would make them a bit more low-rise on the waist. Seems like companies like them and Arcteryx don't get the point about fashion these days and that people do want pants that a bit more fashionable with regard to a nice, low-rise fit.

Love these!
Full disclosure, I'm a big fan of Prana and these pants are no exception. I own their shirts, vests and multiple styles of pants - all of which seem to fit my body well and the construction holds up to whatever I throw at it. Whether I'm bouldering in the evenings, travelling or camping out of a backpack, doing chores around the house or groceries with the Mrs...this Zion fabric is great! With the charcoal colour, I'm even planning to wear these into the office on casual Fridays!Great fit, great fabric, great build. Buy Prana.

Nice fit..good quality
Well made. Material is as described, not flimsy. Seams are straight and well finished. Good quality zipper. Nice cut. This is the third pair I have purchased for my husband and son. They like them and will purchase again. I have only washed them a couple times. So far they seem to keep their shape/fit after each wash.

Legs like bell-bottoms
Straight leg or even flaring out and the legs are massive width. Totally unwearable especially for a technical pant. Also longer by a couple inches than other pants I have in this size. Fabric and stitching are great so it's unfortunate.
