Sleek, simple, effective...
I've had and continue to have a need for humidifiers for many years due to living in dry climates, along with having asthma, so I'm no novice to the qualifications required to satisfy my needs. In the quest to evaluate this unit, I was initially impressed with the quality of the packaging, outside print, and the inside compactness and fit. I feel it would be hard to damage these units in shipping.Upon opening and removing the humidifier, it was an easy, simple assembly with few parts. The look is like a tower, sleek and simple. The instructions were direct to the point where the top cap comes off revealing the tank with a handle. Lift the tank out, fill with water, and place back in position, which is simple and self directed. The tank then fills the reservoir. Replace the top cap on the tank and your ready for operation. The only control/switch is obvious on the center bottom of the unit with clockwise turn from off to on, then showing the flow volume from low to high, based on your need for the volume of the room. I put the unit on max flow and was impressed with its operation and how adjustable the rotating top nozzle directed the vapor flow. The units shape makes cleaning and sanitizing a breeze. This Pallas unit worked flawlessly and easily lasted thru the night and more, and I would have no reservation recommending this to anyone and feel it is a high quality product.

Great at first, but started acting up after 5 months use.
I purchased my humidifier 5 months ago. I loved it at first! It's quiet and powerful. I use it at night- the tank lasts about 3 nights, there aren't any lights on the machine, and the cooling mist really helped with my sinus issues. The tank isn't too difficult to clean. I would wipe it down once a week and use white vinegar occasionally.About a week ago, I turned it on before bed and after about 20 minutes, the motor started making a loud sound, so I shut it off. The next day, I unplugged it and cleaned it out, then tried it again. Same issue. I'm worried about using it any more and will probably contact the seller to report the issue.

SO quiet!!!
I bought this humidifier for my husband and I because our sinuses get so dry in the night. I was amazed at how quiet this humidifier was. I know people who buy a humidifier and use it as a noise machine as well because it's so loud. But this one is so quiet! It's amazing. It also holds a lot of water and seems to work well. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is just because it took my husband and I some getting used to of how it needs to be picked up. If you pick it up the wrong way then you'll pull a part of it off. So just be careful of that. Other than that, love everything!

pretty good humidifier, makes the floor/carpet wet even on low
overall this humidifier does as advertised. it puts out a lot of mist even on the lowest setting. currently it makes the floor/carpet around itself wet so i put it on a towel. this happens even at the lowest setting. probably needs a little bit stronger mechanism to get the mist higher in the air to dissolve before hitting the ground.easy to use and assemble. i have not had any leaking problems. the tank is pretty large, holds over a gallon and lasts about 2 days depending on how high you have it set.overall i am happy with it, just would like it to be a little bit more powerful.Update: downgrading this review by 1 star, having more of an issue of it soaking the carpet around because it does not shoot high enough to absorb in the air. I placed it on a table to see if that will help.Update: seems to be working great on the table. Produces a lot of humidity.

Disappointing. Not enough moisture!
I’ve used many humidifiers over the years, and this one was disappointing. First of all, I live in Arizona and my bedroom is quite large. This machine holds quite a bit of water but the output of moisture is awful. I literally have it right next to my head and I’m still waking up with a dry nose and discomfort. This machine may work for you if your room isn’t so large and you don’t live in a desert!Plus sides, it’s super quiet and easy to turn on:off. Like most humidifiers it sucks to fill up. Wish I didn’t spend the money on this.

Super awesome, but always seems to need cleaning; made us sick
I love love love this humidifier. We purchased one last winter that was awesome, no noise, no fuss, beautiful air. Honestly, we used tap water, never cleaned it, had no issues for months. Then we forgot about over the summer, left water in it, it grew stuff -totally our bad! We threw it away and replaced it with a second one. Still works great! Same silent beautiful humidity, but with this one we've had so much trouble keeping it clean!Every time we lift it up, there's stuff growing in there; white stuff, cloudy stuff, pink stuff. I tried cleaning it per manufacturer instructions (recomended once per week) with lemon juice and a clean rag, but we got really sick with some respiratory irritation, pleuric pain, nasty coughing, etc. after I did that.Took us several days to figure it out, finally we turned the humidifier off, and all our symptoms started getting better within a few hours. But I really love this humidifier, so I did some research, soaked everything in vinegar water, ran vinegar water through it for about an hour, then fill it with distilled water to run. No more getting sick after that, so that's how I clean it now, once a week, and we only use distilled water. It still works great, but every time I fill it, I see stuff growing in there and worry about our air quality, and the possibility of getting sick again. The only thing we could do differently, I'll admit, is change the water every day (which is also manufacturer recommendations) but we typically just fill it halfway and let it run until it's empty, 1.5-3 days. So, that's my mixed review. I really loved the first one, and it's really frustrating to have to do so much more maintenance now, especially since the cleaning doesn't seem to be working super well. I've thought about buying another one, but I'm not sure it'll be any better. Who knows? Your mileage may vary.
