We’ve had this pair of scissors/ herb / greens cutters for several years and it’s still great!! Super helpful and easy to use, easy to clean. It’s become a staple in our kitchen!FYI… works great if you don’t try to overload what you’re trying to cut at one time, just use smaller portions and it’s a quick breeze. Also, remember to use the cap/ lid to slide in the middle of it to get all pieces of herbs (or greens etc) out! You’ll have to do it a few times over if cutting a good bit, then that’s also useful when you’re cleaning it out when done. Have fun!!

These herb scissors are the first and only her scissors that I have ever owned so I do not have much to compare them to. I do however find that they are convenient when I have to chop up large amounts of herbs relatively quickly. By relatively quickly, I mean I do not want to spend hours in the kitchen chopping herbs. I do not have the fancy knives that professional chefs have and it seems to take me forever to mince herbs using a regular knife. Well, any idiot can operate scissors! Hallelujah! If anyone else has a hard time chopping herbs and they do not require a super fine mince, I would recommend these as a great time saving tool. Thumbs up to amazon for helping me find a product this useful. I also like that it comes with a handy tool that doubles as a cleaner for the scissors and a holder for the scissors while not in use but I suppose now I am just gushing and I don't want to bore anyone. All in all, these scissors are a great addition to anyone who wants to save some time in the kitchen and I think that is pretty much everyone!

I put off buying these for months because I felt silly buying something that seems so "infomercial-ish." I use these almost everyday the construction is sturdy and the spacing between blades is just wide enough that they easily cut through several green onions at a time. Do not lose the "sheath" that comes with these scissors as they have a comb-type cutout that is very handy for brushing the bits of herbs out from between the blades while cutting. These scissors eliminate the need to get out a cutting board and knife, just to top off your baked potato with some chives. My only disappointment with these is that there are tiny areas of rust popping up on every blade. Besides the rust, I love these time saving, clever scissors and will be a repeat customer.

I love fresh herbs on my food and I grow them myself, but sometimes I don't use them even though they're there because I'm feeling lazy. This is so much easier than getting out the cutting board and knife, finding a place on the counter, etc..I read a few of the reviews before I bought these. I read one or two that said these were difficult to clean (which concerned me). That's not true at all. The cover has tines (like a fork) at the end. This is a cleaning tool. About two swipes and everything's gone. If not, about 3 seconds under running water will do the trick. Maybe the other reviewers just tossed the cover without realizing its second purpose.One person said that leaves get squished in between the blades while you're cutting. Well yes, that's true but it's not as bad as it sounds. As you keep cutting they pop right out the other side and they're not squashed or mangled. When you're done: two swipes like I described above to eject the remainder.So far I've used it on basil, cilantro and chives. I even used it to slice garlic cloves and ginger, but I don't recommend people try that - it's probably not good for it, but I was curious. It did work though.

I use a lot of fresh cilantro and parsley so these have been great so far for those. They'll mince or chop the leaves of the plant - whichever you want. I finely chop the stems of each to add to stews, etc. and these scissors do that very quickly. Pieces do stick to the inside of the blades but they can be dipped into any liquid you are using or just rinsed off if you're not using one. They clean very easily. The instructions say the holder helps clean them but I haven't had to use them for them. They are very sharp so should last quite a while. The handles are also comfortable to hold and use. Sure I could do all this with a knife and cutting board but I know longer have to soak the boards to get out green stains.

I have mixed feelings about these scissors. I do get tired of the tedious and often time-consuming task of chopping fresh herbs. These scissors do a pretty good job of getting through a large amount of herbs but there are a few drawbacks with the design. They come with a cleaning tool to unclog the herbs from between the blades, which you often need to use three or four times per use for a single bunch of herbs, like parsley. This can make the process a bit messy. Also, it does not chop herbs very evenly if you are trying to make it a fast task. Sometimes you have to go back into the chopped pile and grab some of the larger pieces so you can recut them. All of these things can be a bit annoying, but I still don't think it is as annoying as chopping them by hand. Unless prepping herbs the old-fashioned way with a knife and cutting board does not bother you, you might still give these scissors a try. I am still working on a way to make these easy to use and will update my review if I come up with any tricks.

I love it when a product lives up to my expectations. This stainless steel scissor works amazing. It came today and I chopped up a bunch of basil, both wet and dry. On the wet basil, it did stick between the blades, but the blade cover has prongs that you just slide between the blades to pull out whatever is caught there, and it worked perfectly. It made fast work of a pile of basil that would have taken me much longer to cut with a knife or single pair of scissors. I use a lot of fresh herbs and this is going to make prep work so much quicker.
