Some comments mentioned these claws melting. Any comments on this?

As has been mentioned, those comments are old... at the time the Bear Paws were made of Plastic. Now that they are made out of a higher heat-resistant Nylon melting has not been an issue.

Yes they are. The Nylon they are made of is both BPA Free and FDA Approved.

i put mine in the dishwasher and haven't had any issues
