The media could not be loaded. I picked up this light to compare against a double chip light I already own. I will be starting both trees and native prairie grasses every year for the foreseeable future, and want to settle on whatever light will produce the strongest seedlings. I may try a fay lower wattage lamp as well but i'll do a bit of research first.The light is very well built, and had reflector tubes that focus the light downwards instead of all over the place like other lights. These reflector tube have optical quality lenses at the end of them to concentrate the light further. There are four fans on this unit to keep it cool -- and in my case the heat generated will warm the grow tent which will be in a well insulated room in an unheated building.

I didn't even get to turn this light on. I hooked up the cables and went to hang it and two of the cables that came with the fixture came apart simultaneously causing the light to swing down into the corner of my table and onto the ground. Needless to say the light was wasted. You can see from the pics that the metal pieces that should have been crimped like on the other end of the cable missed that on the assembly line.Fortunately, this company has excellent customer service and sent me a new light immediately. Works great! Just make sure to check the crimp on the hangers to make sure you don't make the same mistake I did.

First impressions - this light is amazing. The money savings you get by having the built-in timer, thermostat, and hydrometer pays for a significant chunk of the purchase price on its own. The only issue I have with it is the awesome remote with all the functionality is missing a programmable clock! This light would be perfect otherwise. The instructions say if you lose power it resets the programmed timer - potentially messing up your light cycle and causing big problems. A simple clock powered by the aa batteries in the remote already seems very doable and is a critical function. Hope to see it in future models at the same price point. If so I will gladly make this my light of choice as everything expands.

Product is easy to use with simple features to employ. I like its functionality. Had an issue with one light after 8 weeks and company sent a replacement right away.

Last year I used standard green house lighting. Many plants became weak and wimpy. Having tropical plants in zone seven during the winter is challenging. This year I decided to improve my outcome. After much research I came across Famurs LED greenhouse grow light reviews. Having four green houses I needed a lot of light. My decision was to use 10 1500W panels to do the job. Using three panels in two greenhouses and two panels in the other two greenhouses, I now have happy plants. I set the timing for 16/8 which pretty much covers the darkness of night this time of the year (winter). The panels also generate a small amount of heat that helps with heating. Great product.

DOA Returned

I order a 1500 watt unit on May 28 and had an issue with that original unit, but FAMURS stands behind their products.Low and behold FAMURS replaced the unit in a timely manner and we are back up and running. The light works well and we have seen very good results after only one month of using the light. I would recommend buying for a company like FAMURS who stands behind what they market.

I have several 'generations' of led grolites.most still in service. When i got it(2000model) i had to replce the power cord before it would turn on and stay on..and the timer is difficult because there is no clock display, just provides your chunk of time starting 'now ' The actual unit has functioned well enuff i considered buying 2 more. Looks like they sold out the remote 2000!?!?
