Does the job
I researched crimpers way more than I should have and ended up getting these. They look a lot like some others recommended by a well-known amateur radio operator on youtube that are also sold on his store (and are likewise unbranded). I suspect they are the same, although they are a little cheaper here. They do address the issue seen in other crimps where the jaws don't align. These have the 4 layers of thick metal plates as the body and are really solid. I haven't gotten to use these a ton, but my experience so far has been great. The quality of crimp seems to be good. There aren't the issues seen in cheaper models. The die that comes on this set takes care of most of the coax needs for amateur radio. Other dies that can do LMR-400 and such should fit on it, but I haven't tried. I'm mostly going to be using these for RG-58 and perhaps some RG-8x later on. Works great!

Like a snapping turtle
I just put up my first ham radio antenna and needed to attach the connector to the coax myself. My sense of timing is marvelous, and it was far too cold to solder (that and my normally good ability to solder electronics did NOT transfer to coax). I got this to use crimp-on connectors.Obviously i didn't expect the leverage from the jaws of life in a handheld tool, but WOW does this take a lot of force to crimp. I didn't expect it to be like using a pair of scissors, but i was still surprised.I took a star off because it has a little release lever inside the handles that in my experience isn't useful. If you use the wrong size spot for crimping, the handles are too close together to really access the lever once you realize your mistake. If the mistake is obvious a bit sooner, the lever's mechanism will bind and you have to get creative (and a pair of vicegrips) to get it to release. I know it's my fault for getting the size wrong, but it would have been better if it was more forgiving...we all make mistakes!

Good Sturdy Crimpers, Great Value at this Price
I had ordered what was suppose to be a complete solderless connector attachment kit from a well know on line amateur radio supplier. I also ordered a bag of their connectors which have undergone a design change compared to the connectors the kit used. ie the kit was an expensive waist of money since it didn't even come with a set of crimpers.I found this set on Amazon and have now used it numerous times including going back to recrimp connectors I used channel locks for since I had no other tool on hand. This tool works great crimping around the circumference making a very strong connection. I've bought both the smaller size for 8X and the larger for 213.They are working great and are a fantastic value compared to money spent on other coax connector tools I've purchased.

Awesome Tool
If you're interested in moving to crimp connectors this tool is great. I purchased it to make some BNC terminated jumpers on RG-8X and this tool make it an easy job. Now that I have it I will probably look into moving to crimp connectors for UHF style as well.
