Lee Precision .451 Double Cavity Mold Ball

The Lee molds do a great job of making the round balls I use in my cap and ball black powder revolvers. As long as you get pure soft lead, this mold, following directions will produce excellent, perfect round balls of the exact size purchased.The rounds work perfectly in the revolvers and save me a small fortune vs buying the same products ready made. And it is very easy to do...all that's needed is a Lee pot to melt your pure lead, a ladle to scoop the hot lead from the pot and pour into the molds and there you have it. This mold makes 2 balls at a time and with a little practice you can make 10-16 balls every single minute. I find this a fun way to spend an hour or two every once in a while.

Makes good consistent spheres.

It works like it supposed to. If I could produce more balls at one time it would be 5 stars.

Always liked this product. Very good for the money.

10/ 10 it works... can't think of any negatives...casts well, and seems to be well made. Just bear in mind lead temperatures as you do not want to get air pockets or distortions to your cast balls during the casting process. But you probably know this already if you are buying this product.
