I have to replace the smart cord for my Passport about once every 18 months. The problem with them is that the mute buttoneventually fails followed by the + pin spring on the tip of the plug. This is the 3rd one for me in 4 years. When they work they are great but they don't last very long with normal use. I suspect they are outsourced overseas. I took the last one apart to try to fixand found the inside components to be cheap parts. Considering the failure rate they should price these things at $5 bucks.

Product works, however, it is different from the OEM cord that originally shipped with the detector. The coiled portion of the cord is considerably shorter than the factory cord's coiled section. Other than that, it works, and the price is quite fair.

Bought this as a replacement for the cable that came with the Escort X50 detector I bought 10 years ago. Works the same as the original and that's what I expected.

Works good, seems better made to lessen strain on the cord when in use. Time will tell.

Works as expected on a Passport Escort 9500ix. If you are able, it's better to hard-wire the radar detector to the fuse box. However, in my car, I'm not able to easily, since the fuse box is in the trunk. If you can't hard-wire the detector, this is the way to go!

Have purchased this product many times. And works great! However, the ones I have had in the past had the wound cord from one end to the other. this one has standard cord at the end that attaches to detector. Pictures or description did not state this.

It works and was much less costly than Cincinnati Microwave!

Great product. A little pricey but worth it if you live in a state where escorts are illegal. The smartcord allows u to conceal your escort and read signal via a light on the cord!! Cool!!
