Product came just fine , 3 position , push to choke , same number of terminals as the one I was replacing. Very easy to transfer wires one at a time from old to new in same position. Did not have to deal with wire colors just matched the position. Total install time 15 min. And works perfect. Look at the terminal positions on your boat and match that up to a new one with the same number of terminals located in the same positions as yours are , and make sure your choosing from the right catagories .....2 position or 3 position etc. and you should be fine.

Don't waste money buying at a boat shop, they wanted $85 for the same type of key switch. The only difference was the housing being plastic vs metal on the boat shop one. Guess what, I can buy multiple new ones for that $85 price. This product was a steal and works perfectly. Hook up was easy and brief instructions made sense. It is nice having options for both types of hook ups too. Great product!

Ignition switch works great, however the terminals are not in the same layout as original in my 1978 Evinrude Power Pilot. I had to extend and reroute the main power wire (B) to avoid contacting the magneto (M) wire because the factory doesn't leave much slack.Also, the installation diagram wasn't 100% accurate, which combined with difficult-to-read terminal labels, resulted in me miswiring the switch at first.This ignition switch was not a direct replacement - it is designed to be screwed onto a plate/panel, whereas my original has the aforementioned plate/panel built in. I had to make a plate out of plastic using the original switch as a template and drill a hole in the middle to mount the new switch.

Works great. I bought a boat with a 1968 chrysler outboard that didnt have a key. I bought this ignition switch and it was easy to install and in 10 minutes had the outboard running.

This key switch covers all of your ignition needs.This key switch has a contact for each position. Key off, Key On, Crank and push in for choke.If you have a magneto or an electronic ignition this key switch will work. Now you have to use the correct pin on the back of the switch so get that ohm meter out.this is a good key switch if you have an outboard which has an electric choke. I think the magneto switch is separate / does not share a common connection.

This was a drop-in replacement and worked well. The terminals were labeled slightly different than the original, but it was obvious which way everything went.

Perfect fit for my 77 Power Pilot control box and 78 115hp evinrude. Wired up in 10min.I is A on ignitionJust write down where your wires are, this is not a direct switch out for the power pilot. First ignition install and i nailed it first try.. if you lost your keys, this is your cheapest option.
