Vermont American 23130 1/8-Inch Radius Carbide Tipped Roundover and Bead Router Bit, 2-Inch Ball Bearing 2-Flute 1/4-Inch Shank

Where have you been all my life 1/8 inch roundover bit, and why have I wasted so much time using sandpaper when i could have had you. Love the bit and plan on using it on almost everything. Used it on two 7 foot custom bookcases in my dewalt compact router this past weekend for all the face frames and trim. I bought this one because it was priced cheeper than the others. I cannot speak to durability but it cut well upon first use and delivered a great end result. Worth every penny and saved much soreness from sanding. I thought about the 1/16 roundover but this really produced the outcome I wanted to take just enough off where there is not an obvious roundover look but more subtle rounded edge.

This Solid Combo Roundover / Beading Router Bit surpised me...I thought all I was getting was the round-over bit, but it comes with a second ball bearing roller of a smaller diameter allowing for the old switcheroo using the included allen wrench. Nice bonus for a bit that cost me half what it would have cost me at Home Depot for ONLY a roundover bit of the same size.Amazon, you rock!

Overall the bit is fine. The carbide is not as polished as a premium brand bit but still cuts well.Run the bit on some scrap wood first. At least the roundover bearing leaked a touch of oil for the first minute or so. I haven't used the smaller beading bearing yet but suspect it would leak at first as well.

I was a little nervous about buying this router bit given it was so much less expensive than what I was finding at the hardware store, but it has worked great for the level of routing that I do for home-improvement projects. Would definitely recommend as a reasonably priced but still good quality bit for moderate use.

An excellent tool for the price, particularly when it includes an extra bearing and Allen wrench, all in a durable plastic case.For easing the edges of wood casings, nothing works better. I did not have the grease leakage problem that some reviewers complained about.

Works well with what I needed it for. I use it for rounding carbon fiber foam core.

Has worked well for several projects. I would order again.
