This is the perfect solution when switching out old (like, "Batwing" ) dresser pulls and installing new ones when the holes are not aligned, but spaced differently. So you drill the standard 3" and this covers the other hole(s). Whether you drill 1 or 2 holes for the new pulls depends on whether it matters if the pull is centered. That may be necessary for one pull on a small drawer, but on a larger drawer with two pulls, you just need to be aligned and drill the new hole on the same side (like inside, on both sides) for proper alignment.

These are really heavy which I love. You can tell they are great quality. Much sturdier than my old ones. They look great on my pine cabinets. They are a true deep rubbed bronze. You'll love them!P.S. I know one handle is crooked in the picture. That's a drilling error, not a product defect!
