Highly recommend!
How can you go wrong with the Kitchen-aid brand? The quality is what I would expect from Kitchen-aid, maybe even better. I purchased this for the quick delivery via Prime, but the price was a little lower at my local retailer. It was worth it though to avoid the Christmas craziness. The grinder works very well especially if you do smaller batches. If you are doing large amounts of grinding or sausage stuffing I would recommend getting a dedicated unit though. But for making our own freshly ground meat, avoiding the issues with commercially ground meat, it is really convenient and totally worth it! So far I have used it to make my own venison sausage, pepperoni, as well as small batches of ground meats for our family dinners. Again, I totally recommend this over store bought ground meat where they use old meat and all sorts of dyes to make the meat look fresh. The citrus juicer was sort of a bonus in this pack and works fine as well.

Works as expected, quality product
We bought this one to make sausage. Made at least 40 pounds and worked mostly well. The plastic is pretty thick, so I am sure it's going to last a long time. Don't know what else I can say, it's worked well and did the job. Probably a little high priced being plastic, but we've saved that much making our own sausage. One thing, our kit came with a plastic "stuffer" tool that did not work that well, not as good to push the meat through. My daughter inherited our old mixer (with the sausage stuffing kit) and that one came with a wood pusher that works SO MUCH better. Would be 5 stars if KitchenAid had not switch the stuffer tool. Not a good move, sadly hurts the attachment. As other reviews have mentioned. The only negatives I have with this set up is, NOT the fault of this product. Making sausage with the KitchenAid mixer works well, but not the best solution if you plan on making a lot of sausage. For one, the mixer is so high, we ended up putting a plate on top of a bowl so the sausage wasn't hanging so far. Not that it is bad, just easier when the sausage is closer to a surface and less chance of ripping the casings. The biggest issue, with this set up, it's harder to keep constant pressure and flow of meat so you don't get air. Made some potato sausage (great tasting), with cream in it which was sticky (even when cold) and a real pain with this set up as the pressure could not be applied as well. Sure helps to have two people to make it with the kitchenaid.Like I said it works, but if you planning on making alot, there are plenty of stuffers made just for the job. I have one on my wish list.

Food Grinder / Sausage Stuffer (Updated Review 3-9-2012)
This product attaches easily to the mixer and works like a charm. Purchased to grind meet for making sausage and it works great. I would recommend this to anyone wishing to do the same. It is well worth the money. Cleans easily and stores in a small box.UPDATE!!!!!!After using just three times I have started to get metal shavings in my meat from the grinder. It appears the shavings have come from the end point of the shaft that fits loosely in the end. It ruined $40 worth of meat in the process.I contacted KitchenAid and they are sending a new unit to replace this one. Hope the replacement works better than the first.

very useful
Makes great sausages. Juices many things to add fresh to recipes no more store bought expensive extracts/juices, just pick em off backyard trees. Awesome value in a bundle pack like this.

Does the job pretty well
All the components worked OK, It took a while to get the feed rate of the meat we were grinding just right. The blades had to be tightened more than the instructions said to prevent meat fibers from building up between the disk and the cutter blade.

Five Stars
These have been great. For a family like ours, who hunts and fishes, gardens and does a lot of home preserving, this attachments were a no brainer. The grinder is WONDERFUL. Combined with the sausage stuffer, we can create our own spice mixes, or purchase premade ones from the hunting store. I have made venison brats, and breakfast sausage. You can even use the grinder to make sausage patties (which our entire family just loves.)The juicing attachment, I was leery of initially. But after using it, I was in love. I make a lot of brines, that require a lot of acidic juices (lemon, lime, orange predominantly). We are a hunting/ fishing/ home preserving family. SO this has become a necessity. Great investment.

It's good but you need to be careful
As I saw some pictures with a crack at the meat grinder, I cut the meat in small pieces before put it into the grinder, and it works ok, it takes a while to grind 1 pound of meat though. The sausage stuffer works really well and it's quite fast, in this case I cut the meat in really tiny pieces(I saw some recipes where you can grind the meat too) and it went throw really well.

Have You Ever Tried Homade Hamburger or Sausage?
I if you ever try grinding you own Prime Rib into Hamburger with a touch of your favorite spice you will never want to buy hamburger from your favorite fast food place or even from the supermarket again. A little more work but well worth it. The attachments for the KitchenAid mixer work very well and come apart for easy thorough cleaning.
