As advertised, works like a charm (with a little fiddling).
Saw this as an option to prescription lensing for my Rift CV1, and the unit does not disappoint. The fiddling is more with inexperience with the interior of my VR headset more than anything. Once I had everything aligned, it's sturdy and non-budging. The lens vendor (Zenni) also delivered quality lenses promptly. (NOTE: Be sure to get the anti fogging one, I didn't and I'm considering an additional purchase...)One weakness: Your business card with tiny instructions on it? Do better. XD Print a QR code to a PDF for it at least...

Actually WORKS!!!
Ok, let's be honest!!! I didn't think this would work!I have astigmatism and stuff are always more expensive for me because of that. The lenses for vr I was going to order from some website that made lenses with the inserts were going to be 69 or something...the moment I put in astigmatism prescription information, they were 113 or so... I was willing to pay the 70 for them, but not nearly twice that. So I look around for something else. I wouldn't mind taking apart glasses I have already if I can rig them into something... then I come across this! Yeah I have a 3D printer, but it has been taken apart for like a year, and I'd have to recalibrate it and order new filament because mine is surely bad with all of the moisture...my prints had been failing and I didn't feel like going through all that work...so I took a chance... 15 for the lens adapter and 10 (+4 for shipping) for the glasses. Heck, I even went and bought 2 lenses. I ordered the lenses on the 13th, and they took a bit longer because of my astigmatism. it's now the 24th, and I just got them in the mail today. So 10 days. Not bad at all, especially considering they also shipped it. Now...there was no tracking info, it just went from processing to completed, then it's at my door.I had inserted the adapter into the headset right when I got it, so I took it out, noting the orientation, then placed it on my bed. I then took my permanent marker and marked where the part that went over the ear connected to the glasses...but I didn't love that method because it marked the face of the lens themselves...I then placed the glasses right over the insert/adapter and was like...if I line this up just right, I'll be able to do this!!!So I unscrew the glasses and hold it closed (1 lens at a time of course), then line it up. (I did notice that my glasses were a bit further apart than the insert, but it actually didn't matter upon testing I can still see just fine) I then popped the lens into the insert while it was lined up (I lined the glasses up with the adapter, so I got the orientation perfectly) and it went in great. I marked the side that had an opening so I'd know if I rotated it by accident or something. Like, I marked the whole part that was left in the open, so I'd 100% know where it all lined up. And it was on the side of the lens, not the part you have to see out of, so I wasn't worried about seeing a black mark in my vision while trying to vr.I did the same thing with the other lens and put it back into the headset. It was a little harder to insert it since the lens kind of pushed the adapter out a little, but it went in when I pushed the adapter up a bit.I actually feel like doing the same for my nephew if I decide I'll let him play...Like it would be easier to write names on them if the thing wasn't black, but it doesn't matter. For $10 per glasses, I honestly wouldn't have an issue ordering one for each nephew (as long as I get prescriptions for them) and heck, if I get my printer back up and running, I'd print off 3 more...or order more if I'm feeling too lazy...but honestly this is the cheapest solution to be honest. I wouldn't wear the glasses themselves, haha and the frame is pretty flimsy (the free frame...I haven't had wire frames since I was a kid, so it's hella light compared to my plastic ones) But for $10, I got the glasses, a case and a lens cleaner... and it's not like I'd wear the glasses anyway, so it doesn't matter how they look.Honestly, since I marked the lenses, I wouldn't have an issue switching the lenses out for each person...maybe I'd buy a 2nd one tbh and make that the one that gets switched around but leave mine as is, haha. But the best way would be 1 insert per person, haha. It's not super expensive. Like... let's say I ordered 3 more glasses in 1 go. That's 30 + 4 shipping and handling. 34...then I do 3 more inserts at 15 a pop, that's 45 for those, so 79 total for that order... which is about what I would have spent for one of the expensive adapters that came with the lenses had I not had astigmatism. I do love this option. I love that they told us how to do it, and I love that they were actually trustworthy and it wasn't a rip off. I was scared that the lens part of it would be fake or something, but they came through! Literally, just do everything default/free. It fit perfectly with all of the free options. You don't need any thickness/thinness adjustments or any of the add ons. It's literally just to put in vr lenses. I was scared I'd be feeling my eye lashes rubbing against the lenses like I did when I put my glasses in, but I didn't. I also don't have to worry about the nose part pressing against my nose. Like all the issues I had wearing glasses in the very tight fitting rift headset went away with this insert! I will definitely be ordering more glasses from zenni for my family so we can experience VR...I actually wish they had a PSVR option too (Though that has tons of space for glasses and I have no issues with wearing my glasses.)I also used the default facial interface and took off the foam crap that was on it and used some velcro to attach the replacement foams to that plastic part...so if you're worried about having to use the default interface, don't! You can just get the part that touches your face and peel off the one that comes with the oem interface. It's attached by some type of double sided tape. I got some velcro dots and cut some in half before sticking them to the facial interface. It doesn't have to be a full hold tbh. It's not like it has to be hung up by the interface or anything. All it has to do is be able to not fall off when it's not on your face. The adapter itself is just the small insert thing that holds your lens. It doesn't clip/snap on or anything, it's like it uses pressure to hold itself in place when you take the interface out. I'm really glad they are selling this and that they pointed us towards were to get the lenses. It works! That's all you can ask for!!!

Me sentí estafado

Works for me!
It fits. Works well. The lenses were relatively cheap and easy to find. All in all very worthwhile. Note, it's not the full insert. Just the part that holds the lenses and you'll need to carefully install all of the above but way worth it since wearing an oculus rift over glasses is a pain and scratches your lenses.

It works and there's no issues.
The fit was more than good enough for my headset and i have no complaints. It 100% came out better than my own print haha.

Light leaks
The lenses fit but it causes the left side to not seal correctly. I get a lot of light leak. Going to try sanding it and seeing if I can get it to work.

Much better than wearing your glasses. Great, but not perfect.
Still 5 stars. This is an open-source design and you can print it yourself. On thingverse, it is thing:1602460 so you can get the files for yourself. Mine was printed by a friend. You may be able to get it printed at your local library. Based on the reviews, it looks like this is a decent print, and the price isn't really that bad for the convenience you get.Thingverse shows two designs, this one and one that is closed. I have both and this design works better. Order the glasses, carefully mark the lens orientation before you remove them from the glasses, and put them in.You have to massage the face plate back into place with this attached. It is quite a bit harder to get in, and you have to press on the sides of the face plate while pushing it in to get it to go. But it will go in all the way. The difficult of replacing the face plate makes you really not want to remove and replace it very often. If you wear glasses with VR, you already know that you must remove the headset from the rear to avoid tearing your glasses off with the headset. You also risk scratching your glasses or the VR lenses, and frankly I'm not sure which is worse. VR headsets are expensive, but so are decent glasses. I got my Rift used, and my glasses cost much more than it did.
