THE BEST CASE OUT THERE!
I don't usually find time to write reviews. I spent weeks googling and comparing products for a case for my gun collections. I am a neat-freak when it comes to my precious possessions. I narrowed down and purchase the Elkton case for 5 weapons based on reviews. It's neat that you can pluck-out the pre-cut foam according to your organization desire. Here are my issues with the pluck-out foam: 1) The foam is very soft it's not strong enough to hold the firearms. The foam is the same quality use on bed-toppers. The weight of the firearm squeezes the foam, sides and bottom so the slot created is deformed. 2) The pre-cut foam is not the exact size of the magazines, be it .45 or 9mm. The slot created is either too small or too big. 3) Once you pluck-out the foam, there is no way you can put it back. 4) The case is lil heavy and looks enormous and almost like a tool-box look. So I returned it and started googling again. Then I found this DORO case,. What a huge difference! The design is genius! No plucking. It has 5 precuts where firearms nest perfectly. My Sig, Glock, Beretta, FN and Walther sit handsomely! The 18 mags slots are precisely sized for 9mm and .45. The foam is better quality, made of the material use for coolers. And the case, did I mention about the case? It is smaller than Elkton, just right and looks elegant. Excellent job DORO!!

Amazing deal!!!
Built sturdy and seals perfect. Fit my large 5" 1911 with comp and my Glock 22 with 5.25 barrel and comp, so plenty long. Magwell fits pretty tight but does fit. Only complaints are that Magpul 21 round mags are a bit tall for it, they will fit but the case has to be pushed close then when latched, and you have to remove lights off pistols. Overall extremely happy for the price.

I almost love the case...
The case provides great value and convenience. The pre-cut foam was suitable for all of the firearms I wanted to transport and store. The case itself seems durable and well made...However, I take issue with the provision for adding a padlock to the case. I have no delusion that the addition of a lock would deter any thief; but, it would allow peace of mind when guns were at home, in the case and not in the safe should any child or visitor attempt casual access. I bought a biometric padlock assuming it would work. In fact the holes provided won't work with any padlock I own. Only a long, small diameter padlock hasp, or thin cable would work and I had something more robust in mind... It would have been so simple to better engineer this key (to me) feature.

Nice Case! Great Price! No Fuss!
This is a really nice case. The insert is nicely cut and fits all of my Semi-Autos just fine. For anyone who has had an insert custom cut for a Pelican style case, you will know: 1. Good foam ain't cheap. 2. Custom fitting ain't cheap. 3. Stock foam is not ideal, nor is a crisp clean DIY cut on the stock foam easy to achieve (if even possible?).I have several Pelicans brand cases for long guns, camera equipment, and military gear sitting next to this DORO. This case almost rivals a Pelican in weight and build quality. For a "drag to the range" case, it is probably the perfect option. Maybe in a plane crash at sea, a Pelican would be a better choice. Hopefully, I will not have an opportunity to test that scenario. There are also similar cases, with perhaps an even more convenient pre-cut insert, but nice ones are almost twice as much money. So, I can provide no comparison Nanuk or Case Club offerings. They look pretty good too. While one could buy a real Pelican brand case without foam insert, and pay $140 for a custom cut high density insert (at a local military case builder...we have that opportunity in my area), this is a much more economical and perfectly satisfactory option. Glad I found it.

Excellent range case!
This case is a tank! Foam is precisely cut and the way it can be configured is a nice feature. Finally a case I can take to the range instead of lugging a bunch of pistol rugs and mag bags.Fits a nice variety of size pistols, but more geared for autos. SAA with 4.75” barrel fits, but boomers like a Ruger Redhawk .454 with 5” is a no go. A Ruger 22/45 with 5.5” is gtg. Pocket pistols fit as well and if you pull the pad, you may be able to fit two separately in “one” slot.I ordered mine without the descant can, as shipping was faster. I bought a can for $5 and added it myself. Left it a little higher than precut for what I think will be better effectiveness. Took less than 5 min and saved $15 to boot.

This is a great case!
I spent a good deal of time looking at a number of options before I decided to buy the DORO case. I am very well-satisfied with the quality construction of this case. The product description reports that this is a "Heavy Duty" case. This claim is no exaggeration. The plastic case is thick and durable. The latches are strong and hold very snugly when snapped closed. The hinges are solid and not flimsy, at all. I am confident that its quality is as good as other well-known brands, but at half the cost. I will buy another, as soon as needed.

Almost Perfect
When I received the Doro case I was excited, until I tried to place my 6" S&W Model 19 in a slot. The case was TOO SMALL. It will not take a 6" revolver as explained in the narrative. The case was just at 1.5" too short. All of my semi-autos fit absolutely perfectly. I was very disappointed when I had to return it. I am now searching for a case that will be able to fit a 6" revolver along with 4 or 5 semi autos and magazines.
