Fire lookout logbook use! Worked out great, so far :o)
Nice quality. decent price. arrived quickly. I'm the fire lookout at Carpenter Mtn, Oregon. I'v used it as my logbook for one season, thus far. I think I'll be able to get 4 or 5 seasons out of it. It beats the beat up old spiral notebooks that were previously used. :o)

Quality Journal
Beautifully made and a pleasure to use. The paper feels high quality, the design is elegant, and it’s perfect for daily notes or journaling. A simple, thoughtful journal I’d happily recommend.

Great size with 400 pages
Love the expanded version and soft cover. Works great. Paper works well with several different fountain pens and no bleed though

Pricey but Worth It
Pricey but worth it. I use this notebook every day and carry it everywhere. The paper handles every pen, marker, and pencil I use without issues.

Soft and very well made
i got this to try plus it catch my eye that it is very large and soft. I finally tested out with a few fountain pens I have and it did very well. I would say it is a good media notebook, very well made. Mine came in a little crush on the sizes but I am getting it straighten out. I also notice this paper from this notebook is a little different from the planners so be aware. The planner paper is to me feels a little better to use for fountain pens. Happy with my purchase and I am waiting on more planners that I purchase on a very good deal earlier in the week.

Oh, Moleskine ...
I have a complicated relationship with Moleskine notebooks. This Expanded 400 page lined journal is bound beautifully. It will absolutely not fall apart, it doesn't need a separate cover, and the elastic closure is well made and maintains its stretchiness. There's something magical about using a Moleskine. Maybe it's the color of the paper or just the history of the brand. And, it's fairly functional. I tested all my pens and other art supplies and was amazed how much I could throw at this with just a little ghosting. It can even take light, artist quality watercolor. Anything pigment-based is fine -- markers, stamps, paints. Just skip dye-based supplies like cheap watercolors and Pentel brush pens. But. You knew there was a but coming, didn't you? This paper is humid. That's the only word I have to describe it. A Stalogy, by comparison, feels dry. Moleskine feels ... damp. The resulting problem is that if you write with gel pens, it takes forever for the ink to dry. Like 52gsm Tomoe River. Ugh. This isn't a problem if you're just jotting a quick note and closing the book. However, if you're sitting down for a long writing session -- which is kind of the point of a 400 page journal -- you either have to use a blotter sheet to keep the facing page from transferring or bump down to a smaller pen size. My solution has been to use a 0.38 pen rather than 0.5. p.s. Stalogy, if you're reading this, please make a ruled version of your Stalogy 365 Editor's Series. That's my dream notebook: Moleskine's form factor with Stalogy paper!
