DIY IQ Jigsaw Puzzle Lamp Shade Ceiling Pendant Lampshade Kit with 15 Feet Hanging Cord (Sky, XL-16 inch)

This is really very cool... once it's assembled. But much patience is required along with a good sense of how things go together. The directions offer some critical concepts/rules that you must follow. Without the mental capacity to visualize such things it was these rules that enabled me to fuss with it enough to get it together. Maybe I could compare it to a Rubik's Cube. If you have the mental ability to understand the mechanics and align its parts by using an understanding of its design then this orange ball will not be a challenge. If you have the stubborn persistence to keep fooling with it along with some mechanical know-how, you will eventually get it together. If you have none of these abilities, just ask someone who does for help.

I’m not actually good at puzzles so that was a head scratcher haha. The instructions are okay, just make sure when you do it you actually lay them all out like it tells you to do. I thought I was a big shot and didn’t do that so it took me an hour to put it together, and I had to start over multiple times. If I had just laid them all out it would have still been a 30 minute project because again I’m still bad at puzzles. I love the look and for the price it’s great!

Hard To put together

I was scared I wouldn't be able to put these together, but after procrastinating for a week, I finally opened them up and assembled them. I'm still not really sure how-- I followed the written directions and at first, it seemed like it was a a mess, and I screwed it up once by reversing the pieces on one row. But I just kept going and somehow it took shape beautifully. Pay attention to the rule that curved edges always go over straight edges, and put the lamp in before you complete the final 5-piece connection. These will be a really nice change from the fluorescent lighting in my office at work! Will add a photo later when I have them hanging. I'm very pleased with the outcome.

This would have been impossible to put together until we watched the YouTube video with the white and pink puzzle lamp. That was really helpful and it still took my daughter and I an hour to put it together. It’s really large and looks really cool with the led color changing bulb we got.

So the people aren't kidding at all when they say this is difficult to put together. Thinking of it as a fun puzzle instead of a pain-in-the-ass lamp helps, lol! I got to around the 20th piece twice and had to break it down and start from scratch. Once i had my numbering done properly, I was able to get it done pretty smoothly on my third try and I feel like it is definitely worth the effort.The video is definitely helpful (although it is in French). The key, I think, is to number the pieces as sometimes a piece will pop out and it is difficult to determine which one and then you are lost. I used post-its the first time for labeling and they kept falling off because there is a lot of bending so make sure you use something that will stay put. I used flags (pictured) the last time and it worked very well, and it was great that they were easy to remove when I was done.The package arrived several days earlier than originally stated, which was cool.The actual ad says this lamp is great for indoor or outdoor use and the packaging states it is for indoor use only. I am using it outdoors so we will see how that goes.I am a little bummed that it actually glows orange as opposed to red because I really wanted the pop of red in our gazebo but it doesn't bother me enough that i would return it.

I ordered this hanging ceiling pendant because it was available in purple and I needed something to hang over my daughter's vanity that could be plugged into the wall socket. When it arrived it came in 30 zigzag purple pieces all the same size and shape (I ordered the XL size). The directions that came with the pendant were not clear, at least not to me. I set up the pieces according to the shape I wanted the pendant to be and tried to assemble and failed miserably. I tried several times and then became frustrated and gave up for the night. the next day I went on to You Tube and found many video's on how to put these things together. I found a fairly easy shape and followed the video stopping as I needed to catch up. I was able to finally get the light together and I love it and thrilled that I was able to find a video to help me out. I would recommend to people who like different items in their homes and for people who like puzzles.

I put this together and hung it within 15-20 minutes on my lunch break! (Granted, the hooks were already there from a previous owner of the house.) I love puzzles, so I found it enjoyable to assemble. The light comes with directions that are easy to follow. It is perfect for the space and has received many compliments.

I found it difficult to put together. Instructions not great . Once together it is nice .

I was almost dissuaded from buying this lamp based on several reviewers who said it took them hours to assemble. If you like puzzles, it's not too hard at all - I did it in about 30 mins using only the instructions provided. It takes a little extrapolation, but just make sure all the pieces are oriented "front" per the instructions and it's pretty intuitive.
