I am NOT crazy after all❣️
I can’t say enough great things about this book!!! I am 68 and my whole life finally makes sense after reading it. I have been suffering all my life...from as far back as I can remember...with so much (from anxiety, depression, crowds, smells, NOISE...to all kinds of sensitivities)! Everyone thought I was a crazy hypochondriac...when all I really needed are the facts in this book to feel like I can finally fit in & manage myself in this world. What a relief to find out that I am NOT alone. The knowledge and exercises in this book have changed my life and made it bearable forever❣️❣️ The fact that the author is also an Empath & a psychologist makes it even more valuable because she has LIVED it.

Dr. Orloff is a Must-Read for Empaths, Love This Date Book
Judith Orloff is a respected leader in the field of psychiatry and, really, the author you want to read if you're an Empath or Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). I've read nearly all of Dr. Orloff's books, so I pre-ordered this book and its companion journal. I really got a lot out of "The Empath's Survival Guide" and was looking forward to this new book. Thriving as an Empath is formatted as a Date Book. It's not exactly meant to be read straight on through like her other books. Instead, this gives a dose of inspiration / help every day of the year. You can use it in a few suggested ways. First, you can open it to the date you're starting the book, and read one page daily for a whole year. Second, you can use it as a bit of an oracle - if you have a question or problem that you need some insight or perspective on, think about the question, then open the book to any random page, read that page, and reflect on how that might provide commentary on your situation. This is really a great book if you're an Empath. If you're not sure if you are one, go to her website and there's a self-test you can take. Empaths have some unique and special traits, and also some interesting challenges. This book can help with both - celebrating what is awesome about being an Empath, while helping to work with the challenges to create a good life for yourself.I met Dr. Orloff in person during her book tour for this book, and she is an engaging author and person. She is an intuitive empath herself and really brings topics to life, both on the page and in person. I was lucky enough to have her sign my copy of this book. This book is one that I am very glad to have. If you're looking for a book that you can read straight through, and get a lot of information about Empaths and what you can do to survive and take control of your powers, I recommend her previous book, "The Empath's Survival Guide." This book, "Thriving as an Empath" is no less great, but is in a date book format, which may not be what you are looking for. I have both, and I'm very happy with them.

Essential reading for empaths and sensitive people in general
I've had "Thriving as an Empath" since it was released. I often read it after the day is done and find it to be spot on, accurate advice for the day or week, echoing, confirming, and guiding the steps I'm taking to improve my self care and become an ever-stronger empowered empath.I've also had "The Power of Surrender Cards" and used them enough times to find truth in them, and them set them back in a hidden spot in my meditation space. They've been sitting there several months.I suddenly felt very compelled to read the daily intention for today. I reflected on it, took a deep breath, and just as suddenly felt compelled to use the Power of Surrender Cards. I followed the instructions carefully, mindfully, and phrased the question "What do I need to surrender to be healthier (in mind, body, and spirit)?""Thriving as an Empath," January 7: Divine Timing."The Power of Surrender Cards": Surrender to Divine Timing.🙏🏻 I'm listening. 💜

This book is truly a life-changer for sensitive people!!!
I run a group on Facebook called "Attitude of Gratitude with Chronic Pain," and I purchased this book not only for myself, but because so many of our members identify as EMPATHS. I wanted to be able offer strategies to not take on "the weight of the world" as many of us do. The Moderators of the group each purchased a copy after I sent them a few readings, and we study and discuss each day's and all of the 'a-ha' moments that come along with each one. And let me tell you, those 'a-ha' moments are daily! We are absolutely IN LOVE with this book!I do a weekly live broadcast called, "Gratefully Living the Chronic Life" where each week is a different topic pertaining to living with purpose and fulfillment while dealing with chronic pain/illness. I have shown and referenced this gem of a book more times than I can count because they pertain to that week's topic. For many of us, we have been told all of our lives that we're "over sensitive." I certainly have! Thanks to "Thriving as an Empath" I now look at my deep feelings as a superpower and something to be proud of rather than embarrassed about! Judith's writing is thoughtful and uplifting for people like us! And although our empathy is not something to hide, she shows us ways where we can still keep our feelings and not taking on everyone else's feelings too. People living with physical and emotional chronic pain cannot afford to take on the feelings of the rest of the world.Thank you, Judith, for the gift of your writing and insight! It has been a complete game-changer for my Moderators and I and I cannot wait to spread more to the entire membership! I am NOT over-sensitive! I feel things deeply and that is not going to change! Thank you for offering your strategies on living peacefully and with balance.Buy this book! You will not be sorry.Lauren Zalewski "Attitude of Gratitude with Chronic Pain"

Compassionate self care
Dr Orloff is an expert on empaths and their unique abilities to feel/take on other people's emotions and problems. She has a compassionate, loving way of guiding empaths to use these abilities as gifts to themselves and others. She is truly a light to the world. I highly recommend this book.
