Great product, pretty much wiped out a terrible aphid infestation within the first use. However, as the product clearly states, you will need to use this every 5-7 days initially to get rid of a heavy infestation, so do not expect miracles on the first go. You can also reapply this every month if you wish, though in my case I just wanted to get rid of aphids on chilli plants whilst they were stuck inside over winter until something can actually eat them during the summer months. Addressing other bad reviews: No, this is not for gnats. Most organic pesticides work on very specific insects, gnats are not one of them in this case. Search for fungus gnat or Sciarid Fly nematodes if you want an organic way of killing these insects, which if I recall correctly does not affect humans or other insects at all. Again, you may need to get more than one treatment in to totally remove the problem. Also, remember that these flies love moist soil, which also causes fungal growth, so consider if your plants need the soil to be as damp as this to survive or not, that may also solve your problem. No, this is not for box caterpillar. Again, look for nematodes. The RHS says the following on this: 'nematodes Various products containing Steinernema feltiae and S. carpocapsae, including 'Nemasys Fruit and Veg protection' and 'Box tree caterpillar killer''. Also, removing them by hand when you can find them. Finally, my misting spray works very well, and on the nozzle of the bottle where you can turn the spray on and off by rotating it, there is a setting for spraying as a stream, and on the other side (turning it 180 degrees), there is a setting for mist. That might have been the problem that one user had with the bottle not spraying a mist...

I bought to put on honeysuckle, but it may have been too late when I started. It was used on a shrub next to it and was very successful, the ribes is thriving. Unfortunately the honeysuckle was too far gone. Next year I will try preventative rather than cure and I've bought the 'mix your own' which is better value. With it being a natural product I feel better using it around birds, bees and pets. So I would recommend.

Item took longer to arrive than suggested and the item sent did not match the description. Item was not the organic product that was marketed and was in completely different packaging with no mention of being safe to wildlife.

This actually keeps the aphids (greenflies) away. It does take a good 4-6 sprays every 4 days to get rid of them in the first place. However, I found that had I just sprayed and wiped with dry kitchen paper I would’ve gotten rid of the aphides much much quicker instead of wasting an entire bottle of this (it’s a big tree). After that it’s just monthly maintenance, so should last longer.

I regularly use Vitax , it clears blackfly infestations at first attempt AND it doesn't harm bees.

Too early to say if this works or not for my mealybugs, but I was shocked by the applicator/spray bottle - ‘fine mist’ option comes out as a stream, ever so slightly more dispersed compared to the ‘stream’ option. Certainly doesn’t make it very easy to apply evenly and cover all the leaf surfaces, which is somewhat important if you want to get rid of bugs... Should have listed to other reviewers before me!

I bought this product to help fight against gnats, once sprayed the gnats would get stuck to the surface as this product is very thick in substance, all surfaces including walls and windows would be covered in a honey like residue and had little affect on the control of the gnats. It also left my soil with fungi growth on the surface which is why the gnats are there in the first place, I tested this product on fresh sterilised soil and fungi growth started after a couple of days. But it’s great on the leaves to make them glossy but keep away from soil
