a little bit of work to assemble
This 12" wide ramp hardware is replacing an 8" set of ramps I have used for over 20 years. I upgraded as I am purchasing a new lawn mower that will have wider tires.I purchased two eight foot 2 x 12's at the orange box store to use with this hardware. I squared up the ends as there was a subtle irregularity on all 4 ends. The metal end that rests upon the bed of the trailer or truck was easy enough to mount, but I am not sure if the wood was to seat into the notch, or butt up against the edge of the hardware on the top side. In the photograph in the product description, the wood does not sit in the edge, but and there is a gap along the top inside of the notch. That is how I mounted mine. The black rubber ends, for the bottom of the ramp, did not 'slide' on as in the description. The groove on the black rubber end for the wood was about 3/32" smaller than the 1 1/2" thickness of my 2 x 12's. I used a block plane to taper down both the top and bottom ends of the wood, until there was a snug fit.Rather than trusting a friction fit, I used some 1 1/4" cabinet screws to secure the rubber end to the bottom of the ramp, on both sides, and I think the ramps are now ready to use.I think I will be happy. The ramps are quite heavy with the 8' long wood, but I am hoping there is some residual moisture in the wood that will evaporate and leave the ramps a bit lighter.

Great product
Bought the 12 inch set and made a 10ft ramp for my mower and other yard equipment. Would recommend.

Excellent product
Product is to finish two 12 foot ramps for loading and unloading wheeled equipment. Appreciate design and construction. Expecting many years of service from this product.

Not that great of a product
I do not like how the aluminum angle piece matches up to the 2x12. The rubber piece also does not fit on the 2x12 nicely. I had to put screws in it to keep it in place. Over priced for what you get.

Very handy!
These are sturdy and very functional. Upon hindsight I might have used the 8" instead of the 12". A 2x12x8" is pretty heavy and heavier if you use treated lumber. The 8" would have been fine for my requirements.

Hardware is included for the metal ends but not for the rubber ends, otherwise, very sturdy.
We used this kit to make wheelchair ramps out of two ten foot long 2 X 12's. As you can see from the photos, I used black drywall screws to secure the rubber ends to the boards. The rubber ends were not pre-drilled and no attaching hardware was included and no mention was made in the instructions regarding their attachment. These will not be out in the weather so the drywall screws should be good. If they were to be exposed to moisture I would use stainless steel screws.

Weight and cost .
Fantastic and strong with a gentle slope allowing easier loading into the pickup. So how do I take the ramp with me for unloading in a short box with two ramps . Two things happened, I’m old and barely could lift the individual 12” x 10’ boards . The second deterrent we’re the lumber costs . Was able to get on sale Folding aluminum ramps with bumper straps @ $ 49.00 each a saving in weight and price , and didn’t need to put it together .For future reference I would suggest a optional package . Containing your original pack with tips and bolts but add, for short box p/u ‘s , 2 handles to bolt on to 2”x 12”x 10’ , heavy duty hinges and screws for folding the wooden ramps , strap or latch at end save your fingers , and it will easily fit in too the short box P/U . There’s still the cost of wood !! Just a suggestion . Might have looked at the package differently.
