Great book!
I love this book! It’s really helpful. I got it because I read about it in the New York Times. I’ve been having pretty severe depression problems for a while now. I wanted something that would be practical and understanding. It is both. I’ve been keeping it on my nightstand so I can pick it up and start reading whenever I need some help. I read a review somewhere that said this book is really for people with mental health problems. What is that supposed to mean? I think this book is great for someone who has mental health problems or wants to prevent mental health problems.

So many self care guides lean on face masks and treating yourself — basically just trying to sell you stuff, written by people pretending their lives are perfect. This one takes a different approach, and a very refreshing one. Anna Borges understands the challenges of being human, and the fight it can take to get through it. This one’s a must-read.

Already read before purchasing
Originally borrowed from the library, had to buy my own copy. Tons of ideas/info and in alphabetical order.Edit: took away a star as the book seems to have been already read, the spine had been opened and it falls open to the further reading page and will hold open completely flat like someone laid it on a desk or table like that for a while.

I love this book so much
This adorably aesthetically pleasing book is filled with simple, accessible yet genius ideas/reminders of how you can better take care of yourself so you can genuinely live your best life. The flowchart at the end is brilliant and something I will be using time and time again. I’m surprised at how often I’ll pick up this book throughout a week and how much better I feel when putting the tiny tidbits of advice that I just read into practice. This book is great for helping someone with ADHD get to some level of practicing self-care

Honestly this is a GREAT coffee book, looks so cute on the table and it’s a great book for anyone to read when they come over, it’s has so much positive advice, is also hard cover so it’s awesome.

Love this book! Theres a flow chart in the back that helps to guide you to find which type of self care is appropriate for different situations.

Fantastic resource for anyone
This is one of the most helpful books I've ever had. Strongly recommend it to anybody considering it at all. As someone who struggled with their mental health this is such a rich resource and the map at the back of the book which recommends certain acts depending on how you're feeling is perfect. It's down to earth and practical while acknowledging how useful some silly comforts can be. Truly believe there is at least a few handy tips on here for anyone regardless of where you are in life thanks to the variety held in this book.Will be buying this again for friends and family as a reference or starting block to overcoming those tough times.
