This appears very solid with brass fittings and crucially a properly fitted tap end connector, Some cheaper hoses just have the inner latex pushed onto a bump, this one has a clamp and also a quality outer restraining material. Expands to 50 ft which is a stretch, so probably 45ft a safer estimate but it wil go to 50 and there is a good water jet of another few feet of course. Does not kink and I would not return to a conventional hose that does, and the rigid variety are also very much heavier and difficult to manage compared to this modern design.

This is/was the third time of asking in the search for a long, wieldy, lightweight but durable hose. Having tried and discarded some of the jazzy neon-coloured expanding hose offered here there and everywhere; the slightly more robust - but only very slightly more robust - offering from Hozelock, were came upon this offering with little to lose and everything to gain. The key to its success is the three-ply construction of the tubing itself: it does extend, it does contract, it is lightweight but the significant difference is that this hose does not fall apart!. The additional woven ply - the exterior layer - adds substantial mechanical strength such that pulling the hose around a garden or forecourt does not exercise the inner tubing and joints causing them to fail. IT really is as simple as that. This hose is strong & durable - all others have been weak and failed. So pleased are we with this product we bought another to extend the reach closer to the further corners of our property. Nothing to say about the shiny bits beyond they work well, are of decent quality and look goos enough too but then who ever selected a garden implement for its looks? HIGHLY RECOMMEDED

I struggled a bit to set up the hose but that was only because of the strange set up of our own outside tap. Luckily, this hose came with an adapter that I was able to screw on to the tap. The fixtures are all metal so feels well made. I like that you can turn off the flow which is handy when plugging the hose to a pressure washer at the other end. The only thing to bear in mind is you need to have the tap on and fully flowing in order to stretch the hose out.

Doesnt extend to 50ft the fabric on the hoes pulls off when it's on the floor when using, leaks. Also the sprayer doesnt work on all setting the "cone" setting just dribbles out water.

Nice strong pipe mine leaks from the washer bit dont know why I've tried dif connectors it could just be me

Its like magic this hose replaces a cheap version. It is far superior and grows and shrinks very quickly!

Does the job, but needed to replace spray head which was useless :(Bought it when on offer, so good value - wouldn’t pay full price.
