Used a handful of times over the course of months and the unit developed a leak. I thought it was my mistake in overfilling at one point, but the second time my hand was engulfed in flames I recognized the leaking area and this product is now gone. Use at your own risk, I'm not exactly comfortable in filming a demo of this issue...

You need to keep the searing head very close to the food you want to sear. I measured (using IR temp gauge) 1200F at the face of the searing head after letting it run for 1-2 minutes. The claim is up to 1472F. Not so according to my measurements. The unit will easily tip over if you do not fully extend the base foot and place the torch on a flat surface. Overall getting the torch and searing head for approximately the same price as a just a searzall head seems worth it.

It comes with searing head and torch. Work great and easy to use.

Does not get anywhere near hit enough to sear meat properly. Takes nearly 10 minutes to do what it is supposed to do. I almost never write product reviews but this thing is so bad that I had to save you all from buying it.

Don not buy this. Go buy the Searzall. This is just a more poorly made knock off- at a slightly higher price.
