My 9th grader is reading this in his English class. It's been really good and we're both enjoying learning so much about the lives of those In South Africa during apartheid.

It was okay. I didn't the book.

Everyone should read these short stories...they give insight and eloquence to the apartheid experience. I have recommended it to educators and students.

Good collection.

I purchased this book to supplement my homeschool curriculum. I needed stories based in Africa and these fit that bill. It is a great way to use short stories to educate kids about the daily realities people faced in South Africa due to Apartheid throughout time. The stories gave them the perspective they needed, as well as teaching about general life in there as well. I recommend this for educators!

The stories included in this compilation are very powerful. The authors have captured the feelings of those involved in apartied throughout history.

Beautifully written realistic. Creates a clear sense of life during and after apartheid. Sense of time and place evoked. Truthful.
