Good Directions 8815PR Eagle Cottage Weathervane, Polished Copper with Roof Mount, Medium

Beautifully made , easy to assemble and very eye catching. It's early days so I cannot tell you if there are any long range problems but from the way it's constructed I don't think there will be any. My only Con is that the assemble instructions could be better written. i.e.. the pivot contact point should rest in the upper vane and not on the lower direction indicators. The instructions were a little unclear on this .I also added a little grease to the pivot point. Well worth the money and a great addition to your roof or garden.

These are beautiful well made fully functional wind vanes. Easy to assemble. As to mounting, I had the roofing guys who were putting my new roof on do that. It looked pretty easy. Really can't go wrong with these. I expect it to last a lifetime. The eagle is made of copper which will turn into a darker patina as it ages and is weathered. Not as shiny, but still beautiful.

Looks awesome and is weathering nicely

I just put the weathervane up and it looks very nice in the sunlight. My soil is very rocky so it was a bit of a challenge to get the pole in the ground. It is a little crooked but will have to suffice since I already ruined one pole and had to purchased a replacement. We will see how it holds up in strong wind - although I might be tempted to take the top off in a real storm. Some people have said that you can see where the pieces are put together, and you can. I don't see that as a problem since you have to be about a foot from the eagle to see this and most of the time you are not going to be that close.

I think the product was wonderful, the installations were incredible they made it so easy. I had had or pre-planned how to do it. And then they just show you in a video how easy it is with two pieces of wooden screw to get the exact angle of your roof. Much easier than I thought to mount the Cupolla and the eagle. I didn’t make some modifications. I am a perfectionist. I installed a solar powered light inside the Cupolla. It just puts out a warm glow at night with light coming out of all the slots from the Cupolla and the eagle on top. I will be purchasing another Cupolla when our garage goes up. Their support is wonderful and very responsive.

Nice weathervane with a sturdy build. Great price and was easy to assemble.

Build quality could be better. N/S srew snapped off as I was trying to tighten it, due to the fact that it was not sitting level. Soft brass screws?

Love it, I placed it on my garage and it really pops. I chose to keep it shiny as it looks great with the sun glinting off it. In order to prevent patina and it going green and tarnished looking I put a special coating on it. The instructions for mounting the small ball in the middle is too long, when I tried to move it took some effort to move it. I lowered the small ball till it just cleared the Nth West etc direction table portion and it spun freely. Other than that, great product, well worth the price.
