Fire hazard
When I unboxed the product and followed the small instructions I plugged in a desk lamp and a cellphone charger everything was working great until the lamp went dim then came back on I ignored it until the cell phone charger started going on and off when I checked the power strip it was extremely hot so I unplugged it and removed the lamp thinking maybe it was not built for that stuff so I only left the cell phone plugged in and it did the same thing. This thing seems to be a fire hazard waiting to happen. Update: This thing is extremely dangerous it started to smoke with just a standard Android Charger plugged in had to shut off the breaker to be able to pull the plug from the wall if you do take the risk of buying one for your safety and yours families put a smoke alarm next to it these things are unstable.

Do not buy this as a surge protector-and shame on Amazon for marketing it that way.
I bought this to protect my smart home system because Amazon listed this as a surge protector. On opening the box there is no indication if provides that function. The box says only "overload protection.' Online searches also revealed this item as "overload protection" I did wish to trust my home network to such indefinite language so I looked this up. Here is a quote from Underwriter Laboratories."UL tests and rates the safety of surge protectors. Products that pass muster display a UL approval label. Shop for a surge protector with a “UL 1449” label that shows it is listed as a surge protector device and isn’t just a power strip extension cord. UL also uses holographic labels on approved surge protectors to prevent counterfeiting on cheap and typically imported surge protectors...Surge protectors are measured in joules or resistance. You can almost always find the surge protector joules on the packaging. The more joules, the better the surge protector. When shopping for a surge protector, look for the suppressed voltage rating."Bottom line-This is NOT a UL surge protector. Product says "This product underwrite by PICC". Given both the poor English and the unknown group you can guess where this came from. Shame on Amazon for even carrying this-let alone billing it as a surge protector.

A great alternative to the old flat 5-way
Our kitchen is shamefully short on outlets, so we bought this power strip to give us a few extra plugs on our countertop. We thought this would be more attractive and more useful than a typical 5-way flat strip. And we were right. This is far, far better for us for several reasons. One of the most important being that we don't have outlets facing upward in the kitchen, where splashes of water are a common occurrence. The Good:1. Despite being fairly lightweight, this thing stays put! Even when you load it up on all sides with heavy power cords.2. The cable is heavy and sturdy. I missed seeing the exact wire gauge, but they certainly didn't cut corners on copper.3. Although we haven't tested the circuit protection, I feel better knowing there are some safety measures in place. The Bad:1. Cable flexibility is not great. If you're hoping to route the main extension cable neatly around other items, you'd better bring zip ties. The cable also retains quite a bit of memory. I could probably straighten this out by placing it in the afternoon sun for an hour or two, but I'm always a little disappointed when the cable jacket is so rigid like this. The stiff cable makes it even more impressive that it doesn't move around on the counter.2. The switches on top seem to work fine, but the lack some fit-and-finish for sure. They tend to sit slightly crooked. Functionally, it's all good. They just feel like lower quality than the rest of the unit.Overall, I think this strip is worth the money if you are looking for something a bit off the beaten power strip path. You'll pay a bit more compared to those long flat strips, but it absolutely looks better, is easier to access, and I think it's easier to keep things looking neat and clean. It's close to 5 stars for me...if only that cable were a bit less stiff.

Love that this is such a space saver and that ...
Love that this is such a space saver and that I can turn off each section if I am not using it. I can also turn off the whole unit when I leave my desk at the end of the day since this can sit on the corner of my desk. Another cool feature is I can plug in my usb charging cables directly as well.

Awesome product!
Liked it so much i bought 3..2 for house and 1 for rv. I like the fact that there's a overload button and also turn off half of the plugs with the push of a button and keep the plugs in... in other words you don't have to pull out the plugs to stop the electricity to them also very well made it work so well that I've bought a total of 3 great product especially using it in the RV I can turn it off with just one button instead of unplugging everything

Excellent Solution for Adding Power Where there is None Nearby
I'm using on the kitchen counter to overcome the problem of a large counter top spice rack that blocks the wall outlet. I added some thicker slip-proof feet and so far it has been a great solution and it isn't an eyesore on the counter.

We Love Them!
We ended up getting three of these and we love them! Watch the length you order -- we didn't realize we were ordering a 3' one and are just lucky we found a good location for it. It sure is nice having one unit you can use to charge two devices and plug in something else at the same time. They take up very little space on a desk or dresser-top and we've had absolutely no issues with the way they work. Highly recommended!

Fire Hazard!!!! Please don't buy this. broke around two months after purchase. Had it on a corner behind my LCD, plenty of space, nothing on top of it. one day i hear a cracking noise and went to check and notice it was smoking. turn my breakers off and got rid of this piece of crap right away. Not worth it. I don't have a clue why Amazon sell this cheaply made crap. It messed up my wireless router plug too. smh.

Good design But lack of safety Approval for North America
Good design and useful power bar. I only gave 3 stars as I removed the baseplate to verify the construction are safe to use since there are not UL, CSA or other North American safety agency approval. The internal wire area approved only, 18AWG, and the soldering are inserted into the holes within the receptacle wiring terminal are good workmanship. The receptacles not approved, the reset protector are approved for China use only. The website indicate the manufacturer was going to apply for approval 2 years ago and still no approval yet. There improvements required to meet the UL/ CSA standard before it can get approval

Easier than using wall plug
I have had the power strip for a while now and I can say I’m very pleased with the product. It truly serves my purposes, especially since reaching wall plugs is not an easy task for me. I feel safe using this type of surge protector, on the kitchen counter so to protect my small appliances and having the ease of plugging them in.

Does The Job But Nothing Special
Plastic on this is kind of cheap and the cord is WAY too short. It does give me access to a plug that I would otherwise be unable to reach but in the future, I would have went for a cheaper power bar option instead.

Bien contruire
L'appareil est bien construit et solide, c'est un concept utile une barre d'alimentation à porter de main, pas nécessaire de vous pencher.

Straight eight three prong plugs
Only reason for the four star rating, is no USB ports. Which is my fault, I looked at so many of the same type, I miss read the description. Otherwise, just as described.
