Clairol Shimmer Lights Shampoo - blonde & silver - 8 oz

I have tried it two different filters on my water to take the yellow out of my hair with no success. After several purple shampoo tries I tried this and it is the best by far. I have only used it twice and have been washing my hair with distilled water well using it and it is really making a difference. The yellow has tone down significantly and the rest of my hair I feel is much prettier with more of a shiny silver color to it. I only rated it a 4-4 moisturizer because I don't really feel like it's the purpose of the shampoo to act as a moisturizer. Makes my hair a little dry but not much. Definitely will buy again and probably try the moisturizer next order.

I have a balayage on my jet black hair. You have to try it to see that this product leaves the bleached strands ashy and not brassy!!To use:1.Massage your favorite color-safe shampoo onto scalp and wash hair.2. Apply this shampoo to coat hair (like you would with a conditioner. Leave on for 5 minutes and rinse off) I noticed that using this as a shampoo dried my scalp and made it itchy, thus why I recommend using this for hair rather than scalp. I do this weekly and no brassines!3. Apply conditioner. Enjoy the ash tone!!!!

I use this twice a week only because I feel it drys my hair a bit. So I choose my own condition so I can make my hair real soft. It does lighten my blond and makes my whites and grays so pretty and bright. Till it grows out a bit more the blond just gets a bit lighter.

I’ve tried several purple shampoos for my silver and white hair, but I always come back to Shimmer Lights. Some of the shampoos weigh my hair down and others don’t change the color at all. Shimmer lights gives me great shine and beautiful color without weighing down my thick hair. I used it for my blonde hair and now my natural hair color and it’s gorgeous!

Got this after watching several tik toks. Put it on dry and left it for an hour. It definitely brightened my highlights but the smell was a bit chemical-y. My son is medium blonde and he uses it twice a week and it does brighten the blonde.

Love this shampoo. Previously had nice silver/white hair then stupidly died it a dark color now want my natural silver hair back. I use it almost daily and it is lightening my dyed hair which is blending it into my white roots. Used it when my hair was white too and it made it a very pretty silver with no yellow tint. And I don't need to use a conditioner with it.

So I am going to Google this but it looks like the expiration date??? I'll update if it worksUpdate. Left it in for an hour! Just to get any yellow to leave my hair. It lightened it very very little.

Too high a price…my bad…should have checked CVS or Walmart before ordering online

I have been using this product for a while now and it is hands down the best for removing any discolouration to your blonde hair. I have tried many products and this is the best one. It also smells great and get a lot of compliments.
