A decent alternative to getting another PS4 controller
This is a pretty nice ps4 controller to have if you are looking for a spare controller. It is pretty easy to pair all you need to do is plug it in and it connects. The controller itself feels a bit cheap in material compared to the original controller; however, I am very happy with the performance. The controller feels pretty good in my hand and comfortable. The responsiveness is pretty much on point. There is not drift or lag from using this controller. I was able to play first person shooter with this controller pretty nicely. The buttons feel pretty decent and they do look a little different from the original manufactured controller. It is not confusing but at least it is easy to distinguish between the controllers. It has the same color style of the original controller. The orange for low/charging the controller. It utilize a micro USB cable to charge and can work while being charged. This controller can work with a playstation 3 and your computer but you need to be connected directly via wire. I was able to hook this controller up to my computer with an adapter that allows pretty much any controller to your switch/computer. It functions pretty well with the playstation 3 and the computer. If you want to use this with a playstation 3 I would recommend getting a longer cable. The recharge time is what is advertise. It takes about two to three hours to full charge but can be used during this time which is nice. It also does have the touch pad like the playstation 4 controller which is nice. You can access options and home just like the original controller as well. When it first arrived, I was able to get three hours of play time on the initial battery charge. After fully charging it a few times it last about eight to seven hours. On a side by side comparison the controller does little a tad bit smaller than the oem PS3 controller but barely noticeable. Overall this controller is a great alternative to paying 60 dollars for an OEM controller. It works great and can actually turn your PS4 on from sleep which is nice. It pretty much connects in less than two seconds. One small thing is that when it gets low battery it actually starts to lag and drift due to connection. Also your ps4 may not give an accurate battery indicator for the controller as it is third party. Other than the controller feeling a bit cheap in material, this is a pretty awesome controller.

[NO LONGER WORKS] Worked as stated - very minor connectivity issues
EDIT: While the below review applied for well over a year of using this controller, as of today it has mysteriously stopped working for some reason. An error message in Windows indicates that it "malfunctioned", & it now fails to connect to PS4 either wirelessly or via wired connection. Thankfully, as I mention near the end, I bought a 3 year protection plan from Asurion & they were able to get me a full refund (via Amazon gift card) within an hour, & most of that was just waiting for the approved claim to process. With this I'm buying a new controller from a different company with yet another 3 year plan, because clearly this thing just wasn't built to last. I give it 3 stars because it did give me a year of fun, but I've got controllers that've lasted 7 years — this just doesn't compare. For a discount PS4 controller (as compared to the official Dualshock controller that’ll put you back at least $50) this thing serves just fine, & it’s even better for its cross-platform compatibility. I have played this with PS4, PS3, & macOS easily, very comfortable despite the odd shape, & there’s only a few usage quips I have:• Biggest complaint is that it doesn’t handle being assigned to multiple devices very well. If you assign the controller to your Mac then it seemingly can’t (or perhaps I haven’t figured out how) remotely start up your PS4, so you have to press the start button. If you assign it to the PS4, then you sometimes have to unplug the PS4 to stop it connecting to the PS4 so that it can connect it to the Mac.• Feral Interactive couldn’t add support for this controller to their 8 year old LotR game. Oh well, it plays every other Mac game just fine.• You have to use a cable with the PS3, unlike with Mac & PS4 which can handle wireless.Even if it couldn’t function with Mac it’d still be worth it to me for the discount & PS4/PS3 playability. Despite these quirks, you can play games with it, which is all I really care about. Oh, & if the no-wireless-PS3 thing is annoying, then do what I did & buy a 10 foot cord (& a three year protection plan for the controller to boot), you still won’t exceed the cheapest $50 Dualshock price tag.
