Did very well on all terrain except wet leaves on a decline
Fished good size creeks and rivers in Randolph County on a week long trout fishing trip. Seems to grip rocks and gravel sandy bottoms well

Best All-Around Surfcasting Sole!
These are the best all-around soles for chasing Stripers up and down the East coast. Seriously... The little studs are not at all obtrusive or klunky like the bigger hex studs can be, and they grip slippery Montauk rocks like little champs. Then, when the fish follow the bait on down the beach to where it's all soft sand sans rocks, the felt does the job and it's as if the metal studlets aren't even there. I pretty much keep these on for 90% of my salt water fishing. Really only need to swap out to the hex when chasing those Trout around the upper Delaware River. I don't want to be the guy who spreads microbiotic invasive species from one stream to another. Those little summbeeyotches love to cling to that felt and go on holiday to far away strange lands where the denizens of a new Creek speak an entirely different little microbiotic languageThey are so adventurous. You will be too if you buy these awesome Korker soles!

Good for Pa
These soles work well in Pennsylvania, for spring fishing.

KORKER WADING BOOTS
The interchangeable soles make the KORKER wading boots the most versatile wading boot on the market. I have the vibram sole for wearing in a boat, studded felt for normal wading conditions and aluminum bars for aggressive wading. They can be quickly interchanged to meet your needs

Korker wader bood replacement
I was happy to find this item. The wader boot replacement sole was not available in any stores in Tucson. The replacement as as it should be and fit correctly.

Much better traction than standerd felt!
I fish in Colorado and Wyoming. The studs really help on the streams with a lot of algae and rock snot like the North Platt and the Colorado. I like my Korkers but on the first pair I bought the "Button" on the heel that the sole latches on to broke off my first time out. Gander replaced it without questions and I haven't had a problem since. It may have just been a defective boot. My only real complaint with these boots is that the felt soles, including the one with the studs, are really thin and need to be replaced more often than all of the other boots that I've owned. The rubber soles are really no better than wearing a pair of tennis shoes. I only use them when there's snow on the bank because the felt soles hold the snow and you wind up with icebergs stuck to your boots, Overall, I'm very happy with these soles!

Definitely serve a purpose
I really like the felt soles but tend to fish in waters that have a lot of wood and mud so I picked these up. They work incredibly well stepping on wet slimy/muddy wood or muddy objects. They also work v ery well on rocks covered in moss. However, if you are fishing regular rocky waters, stick with the straight felt or the studded rubber. These things get a little tricky on regular rocks, it almost feels like you are stepping on loose gravel on top of the rock. The studs dont stick out far enough to prevent you from getting felt traction but they do stick out far enough to make you question your footing. These definitely have a purpose, and that purpose is giving you a little more traction in places that felt doesn't: slimy muddy wood and rock. I should also mention that they work pretty well walking up and down steep embankments.

Good grip
I had the studded ones for the last year and after I broke off 25% of the studs from heavy use I decided to try these felt / studs. It grips the mossy river bottom well without the problem the stud only soles have with large smooth rocks. When these wear out I will likely replace them with the same as long as they can last for at least on fishing season.

they are the best option for wading traction
this is the way to go if you are slipping and sliding. after they are worn down a little you do tend to skate a little bit on dry rock. But still, they are the best option for wading traction.

they are as expected
the felt on all of these soles does not last very long regardless of the maker. These give you the option of wearing a long lasting sole to your fishing location and then changing to the felt. If you fish a lot like my family, the option to swap soles when you have hiked to your destination is great.
