Basic Wing and Airfoil Theory (Dover Books on Aeronautical Engineering)

excellent book
This is Aerodynamics as it was understood and taught in 1951, just postwar -- with all the knowledge from the 30's and 40's research. Classic Aerodynamics of the airfoil and whole wing. It is very Math Heavy, but the author makes many useful explalnations and summarys after each math session. Also, there are many useful graphs of the conclusions. I'm not a math person -- but I'm gaining a lot from this book anyway.

good coverage of the wing and how it works
good coverage of the wing and how it works, many equations too many sometimes but it is the classic text. yes there is more to it than f=ma.

Recommended classic
The book was delivered as advertised. This is one of several books that were recommended for studying aerodynamics. This book appears to be useful in that regard but it may take me several years or more before I will have sufficient knowledge to really critique it.

Wing/Airfoil theory
This book covers more info than you may want to know. Much more math than you may want unless you are designing wings.
