5 stars immediately. I've been looking for a simple alarm clock and this one is great! It's basic, no frills and very easy to set up. The light from the clock is distinct and easy to read in the day, and not too bright at night. Doesn't seem to heat up, and the cord is pretty long. The alarm function is loud! But the basic tone is good. Great value for money. 10/10.

This is a great little basic clock. Super easy to set the time and alarm. Very basic, simple, great compact size so it doesn’t take up too much space on the night stand.

Update: apparently my husband’s glasses were in front of the alarm clock and made it look like lights were burnt out, but no lights are burnt out. It seems like a good value for the money. At first I was impressed with this alarm clock. The sound it makes is annoying enough to wake up even the soundest sleepers. My issue with this alarm clock is the fact some of the led lights have already burnt out. We bought the alarm clock on August 28th and already have lights burnt out on September 13th. It would have been a good value for the money if the lights did not burn out. I did like the feature of having a lighted snooze button.

I was looking for a straightforward, no-nonsense alarm clock for my nightstand, and this Amazon Basics digital oval clock fits the bill perfectly for almost everything. The compact footprint takes up very little space on the bedside table, yet the LED display is large and clear enough to read from across the room without needing to squint. The brightness level of the display is just right. It is vibrant enough to see clearly during the day, but it does not flood the entire bedroom with harsh light at night, allowing for a good night of sleep. The integrated nightlight feature is a fantastic addition, providing just enough soft illumination if you need to get up in the dark without waking up your partner. The battery backup feature also provides excellent peace of mind if the power blinks overnight. The only reason I am knocking this down to four stars is that turning the alarm completely off in the morning is a bit tedious. While the snooze button is easy to hit, finding and pressing the specific button to fully shut off the alarm while you are still half-awake takes a bit of fumbling around. It is not a dealbreaker, but a slightly more intuitive or prominent off switch would make it perfect. Overall, it is a highly reliable, well-built, and budget-friendly clock that does exactly what it promises to do, as long as you do not mind a slightly clunky morning routine.

Simple and straight forward. This is not a battery powered alarm clock, it has to be plugged into a standard electrical outlet. The 9volt battery is just for back up in case the power goes out (however, we unplugged it and it lost the time and the alarm program for some reason). Otherwise, it is as advertised. The alarm will jolt you awake.

Had one of these for several years, but it kept falling off the nightstand too many times, causing the alarm not to work any more. I was glad you still sell this very same kind. Works great! Simple to operate. Thanks, Amazon! Good price, too.

Just the size I want I can se it clearly from my bed and I have bad eyesight, I truly recommend if you just need a small alarm clock, but I just use for a clock

The alarm is LOUD, I don't recall the description saying it was loud for people how were hard to wake up. It's a piercing sound and I have turned to using my phone for an alarm (kind of defeats the purpose of an alarm clock). The digital display is bright but not disturbing. I like that it is bright so I can read if during the day well. It is easy to set up the time and alarm schedule. It's nice and compact and does not take up a lot of room on my nightstand.
