It is by far the best shoe I have worn for at least the last ten years. I have flat feet and have needed insoles for previous shoes, which never proved to be an adequate solution. But I wear these shoes without any insoles! The soles started peeling on the heels and toes after a few months. But I fixed it adequately with some glue. After five months, the uppers still have no holes. Ditto with the soles (although they are getting a bit worn out, but what do you expect?). My only real complaint is that they took off the free shipping promo for my area which doubled the price. Return the promo! Also keep lots of 9 medium in stock!

It’s so hard to find wide width shoes that fit AND work for food service. These are perfect. I added Dr Scholl’s work insoles and they are a dream to walk in, they stay clean looking, and are definitely nonslip. I can’t comment on the insoles they come with, but with the gel ones I have they’re very comfortable and not too tight, even with the added internal height. They do get a little rough looking on the front side if you use them super heavily and/or daily, so I’d honestly recommend swapping between two pairs every day to prevent them looking nasty too quickly. Overall great shoes!

Working in the food industry it’s very hard to find a reliable working shoe for a reasonable price, I’ve been working for 12/13Hours straight without any fatigue or complains about this particular item , Light & comfy.This is not a leather shoe nor 100% oil resistant, it’s slippery or wet surfaces resistant.

I've gotten 3 versions of the Avia line of sneakers - the Avai Verge, the Avia Skill, and the Avia Union II - I'm going to write one review and cover all three.The Avia Verge is by far the worst of the bunch. While the fit is true to size I've found that these tend to wear fast and seem to be poorly constructed. I've been wearing these to work for two months and they are already worn through the sole and have developed a rip on the outside of the toe box. They do not claim to be slip resistant, and they are definitely NOT - don't purchase these if you work in a kitchen or on slippery/wet surfaces.The Avia Skill I would rate a little higher than the Verge. Unfortunately these seem to run a little smaller than the indicated size although they do a good job with slip resistance and generally keep water off my feet. They do not have the little pull tab on the back so if that's a feature you're looking for then you should take a pass on these. They also don't have the level of comfort I was getting from the Union II's (little thinner memory foam in the sole?). They just overall seem to be of a little lesser quality than the Union II's.The Union II's would be my best recommendation of the three types I've talked about. They are constructed well, comfortable, true to size, and while you "get what you're paying for" (typically in the $25-35 range) they will hold up good for 6-8 months. For me that works just fine since I'll just buy another brand new pair. Paying $60 a year for shoes and essentially having brand new shoes a couple times a year works much better than paying $100 and having nasty worn down shoes after 8 months.Hope this helps!

Nice fit and comfortable for me. Shoe salesman once looked at my feet and remarked "ah, Square Foot". but these fit me well.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this shoes specially for work , I needed them to be non slip and not allow water to enter my shoes since my socks would get wet everyday at work. These shoes were great for about 2-3 weeks then I started noticing that the CHEAP material was starting to come apart on the shoe and the rubber was starting to flake off. everyday they started getting worse until I noticed the bottom coming apart which now allows my shoes to get SOAKED defeating the entire purpose of my purchase. I will now be tossing them away and will definitely not be purchasing these again.
