The ironing mat is well made and gives a nice soft surface for ironing. One side has no stitching and the other side has diagonal lines sewn in both directions, making a diamond pattern it has a finished edge so no filling is showing. The material is that silver/grey heat resistant material which is very sturdy. It looks nice on laying on my table. It is also water resistant. Some water from my iron spilled out on to it and it wiped right up. The silicone pad that came with the pad to set the hot iron on is a fantastic accessory! I never knew how much I needed that, now I wouldn't want to be without it. The hot iron can be set to the side, off the ironing pad, staying out of the way. All in all this was a great purchase and it was one of the less expensive but so worth it. I'm so very glad I chose this one!

I switched from ironing board to an ironing mat. Absolutely fantastic to iron! Especially pants.Recommendation for next version - please do not round the corners!It might look cute but when ironing shirts you want to use the edge of the table and I wish this mat would cover the corner of the table in full.

Never knew there was such a thing until I ordered this mat. Great for being able to touch up quickly as you can just lay it out on an island or a table.

Wow! I ordered this ironing mat and it is really nice. Thick padding, and just the right size. I have it on my dryer and can fold laundry and iron. I would recommend if using to iron that you put a towel under it just to protect the dryer.I would order again and also sent for a fine mist spray bottle for ironing special garments. Company responded promptly and came on time and packaged well with instructions. Even came with a rubber mat ironing rest and cloth and price was right.

I have a long narrow card table and put this on top so I don’t have to jump up to iron each quilt piece as in sewing. I just swing my chair around and iron at the table. Makes it super handy. I love it!

Using this for the first time with a steam iron today to iron curtains. I lifted up the mat because it felt a little damp. The steam had gone through the mat to the table top and the paint was bubbling. It's a craft table that's pretty beat up. Had it been something nicer, I would have been really upset. I will come back if I remember if the towel doesn't stop this, but I would take this as a big caution and/or don't use high steam. I have it on max because I am ironing white cotton. Otherwise, this is a great way to iron curtains if you have a big table.
